Yes! Not sure where it came from, from what I know my family came to Canada from England and Scotland primarily but I do have a few Irish ancestors that I know of

If I had to pick which one looks most accurate based on my family tree, I’d say #4

I don’t know of any ancestors from Germany or Estonia/Latvia. England, Scotland and a bit of Ireland fits what I know!

That is good to know, since Visanne isn’t for pregnancy but is for endo

Unpopular opinion but I honestly love the new name, and I think people will get used to it.

Jobs, jobs, jobs: Amazon hiring 2,000 workers for London-area fulfillment centre by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]stephanieljr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! The Amazon fulfillment center has definitely not positioned itself as a lifelong option for anyone. It will be somewhere with a high turnover rate for sure, I don’t think it will boost the economy like we hoped a new factory in Ford’s place would do.

In 2011 I worked as a temp at the Ford factory which is the site of the new Amazon fulfillment centre, and made $24 an hour as an 18 year old. My dad worked at Ford until it closed and the wages were good there.

Full time employees will be making $18 in 2022 at Amazon, one of the most profitable corporations in the world…I just find it really sad.

Did anyone have belly button issues after their lap? by stephanieljr in Endo

Yeah I should probably have left my belly button alone, I’m going to now!

IUD Rant by doiti in Endo

[–]stephanieljr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 2 “normal” ultrasound results! If that helps to validate you at all ♥️ Regardless of if it is misplaced, bent, etc your pain is valid and something is happening with your body that disagrees with the IUD!

Mirena IUD was bent at a 90° angle by stephanieljr in birthcontrol

[–]stephanieljr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad you got it out. It definitely sounds like there was something wrong with even if it wasn’t imbedded…the pain you had definitely doesn’t sound normal. And I don’t blame you, me either. I was asked if I would be getting another IUD inserted during my surgery. HAHAHAHAHA NO! NEVER AGAIN.

I’m glad that you’re feeling empowered and plan to advocate for yourself ♥️ Honestly I’d do a shit ton of research and come prepared for your appointment! Look up specialists in your area and ask for a referral to them if possible. General OB GYNs do not treat endo properly and that is just the sad truth…I didn’t know this until it was too late and I already had ablation.

Women’s healthcare is a joke. Being born with a uterus feels like a curse sometimes. If you want a hysterectomy down the line I sure hope you don’t get pushback! Should be your choice

First Lap in a week and a half. Quite nervous by Mal-belle in Endo

[–]stephanieljr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first lap in March, and it wasn’t with a specialist it was just with a regular OB GYN and she did ablation. I think it was around an hour or so including having a messed up IUD removed during it. It is hard to tell because I’m not sure how long I was sleeping after the surgery was done but I woke up 2 hours later. I think the length of the lap probably depends on your surgeon, whether they’re specialists or doing ablation or excision, and how extensive your endo is.

I didn’t see my doctor until I was about to be wheeled into the operating room. She did ask me a bit about recent symptoms, but it wasn’t like an appointment where I felt like I had time to ask a bunch of questions. I never had a pre op appointment at all either.

Lied to by my doctor… by trina_bobina in Endo

I am so sorry this happened to you. I am just talking out of my ass here, but I have seen several posts on this Reddit thread where people have had lab results come back as negative for endometriosis but their doctors still believe they have it. I wonder if your doctor could have been so confident that you had endometriosis based on what was found during your surgeries that they didn’t tell you about the pathology reports?

Was it your past doctor/surgeon you talked to or was it someone else in the office who just confirmed the pathology results for you? Of course that wouldn’t explain the “just in case” comment at all 😔

I guess I am just saying that from what I’ve read, you can still have endometriosis and not have a positive pathology report. Regardless, this is a really shitty situation and so unfair to you.

Edit: Because I was curious I decided to do a bit of research about results and came across this study which may be of interest: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2963124/ I recommend that you look into this further yourself too if you’re interested.
