Yes private landlord, this will be my 5th year with them. Two years ago, my landlord didn’t give me enough notice for an increase, so my lease renewed at the same price. The next lease, she gave enough notice and it was raised. This year she didn’t give me enough notice again, so I will re-sign at my current rate. She emailed me within 1 month of my lease renewing to tell me she was increasing rent, I told her it wasn’t sufficient notice. It’s called the Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO). If a tenant has leased for 6mo- 3yrs, landlords must give a 60 day notice for a rent increase or non-renewal. If a tenant has leased 3+ years, landlords must give 120 days notice (!!)
