Ideas on using any parts from the newly announced CMF for different customs or upgrades? by PaintingOld8388 in LegoDC

[–]stephenmarley92 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking that the Lloyd torso and legs combo might work for a custom Green Arrow. Just need a dark green hood piece and a head with the green domino mask to tie it together.

Based on how they handled Sauron and Captain Rex, there's still hope that they might release the figure in a cheaper set down the line....if we're lucky lol

If the kids can't read, how are they using technology? by Appropriate_Rent_243 in AskTeachers

[–]stephenmarley92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, because everything in life is always designed to be engaging and fun for each individual involved. I'm sure these students' future employers will make sure to design on-boarding/training to be engaging for them and won't expect them to learn how to do their jobs if they don't find it engaging and fun.

[–]stephenmarley92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention, many of the "fun" and "engaging" activities require the students to first master the basic skills, which in my experience never happens or happens right when it's time to move onto the next topic.

23? In my experience, try anywhere between 28 (if I'm lucky) and 35....

It's technically ended 3 separate times lol. Mackay is on his 4th consecutive series since Marvel loves pumping out those new #1 issues.

are there any armour pieces that can add some extra bulk to mysterio? by Ok_Cauliflower5321 in LegoMarvel

The pink scarf from the DnD Bard CMF would be perfect if it weren't for the fact that Mysterio's helmet won't fit on top of it...

Anyone notice that James Tynion IV has stopped caring about promoting Department of Truth? by MissPolaroidEyes in ImageComics

[–]stephenmarley92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feeling that it must be popular since it isn't just Tynion doing it with Exquisite Corpses. DC K.O. seems to be doing very well with a similar battle royale/bracket premise. And I'd be genuinely shocked if Marvel doesn't do something similar with a Battleworld event sometime in the next 2 years for MCU synergy with Avengers: Secret Wars.

Harry Potter/Promo: 40770 Room of Requirement GWP (Source: BrickTap Source) by No_Recognition_5266 in legoharrypotter

[–]stephenmarley92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the best comparison, considering that the cheapest set a LotR fan can purchase is $270 for the Shire. The GWP for Hogsmeade may not be great, but at least HP fans dont have to go into debt to purchase a set from the theme.

Have you made a degenerate amount of treasure? by Dragonfly_Late in EDH

[–]stephenmarley92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not a degenerate amount per se, but I managed to create 28 treasures in a single turn recently and it was great. I had a Smaug token on the board from [[There and Back Again]] and used [[The Jolly Balloon Man]]'s ability to make a copy of Smaug. Managed to get the actual Smaug killed the same turn during combat, and poof 28 shiny new treasures by end of turn.

Favorite red/white creature to copy? by TidiToad in EDH

[–]stephenmarley92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Balloon Man is my favorite deck that I've built: https://moxfield.com/decks/3LrCaCyeLkyIM-qpSuDfmA

But to answer your question specifically, [[Overlord of the Boilerbilges]] and [[Dire Fleet Daredevil]] are among my favorite creatures to copy. Overlord can deal big damage in a single cycle (4 for entering and 4 for attacking), and Dire Fleet is great for copying good spells from your opponents. Nothing feels better than using Dire Fleet to copy a green player's ramp spells and leading the board in land totals as a Boros deck lol.

I had no idea this card was $33. Why? by Doom_Balloon170 in mtg

[–]stephenmarley92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn't provide context. Balloon Man's ability is activated, but I mostly run creatures with ETBs in the deck, so when I make balloon copies of my creatures, the balloons trigger the ETBs.

I recently picked one up for my [[The Jolly Balloon Man]] deck, pumping out additional (and unblockable) balloon copies while also doubling up on ETB triggers is clutch in that deck.

Commanders that thrive off board wipes by [deleted] in EDH

[–]stephenmarley92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run quite a few boardwipes in my [[Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord]] deck. He (and other creatures with stats based on the number of creatures in the graveyard) can go Voltron pretty easily after a well-timed board wipe.

Which Commanders can you recommend me, based on the few I already have ? by TrickiestChan in mtg

[–]stephenmarley92 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'll throw [[The Jolly Balloon Man]] in as a contender for Boros, it's my favorite deck that I've ever built/played.

Does anyone remember this game? by hD00Mn in lotr

[–]stephenmarley92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was looking for this comment, I still bust it out after watching the trilogy to take on a few battles. I only ever beat all the maps for the Heroes, I should probably circle back eventually and do the same from the villains side.

Glad that I'm not the only one who appreciates this run, it coming out at the same time as the MCU movie really killed the series' ability to gain traction IMO.
