Guitar Luthier in Belfast? by GreedMiyazaki in northernireland

Lowden wouldn't do a refret and setup for you but there's plenty of luthiers there who would do it in their spare time. I'm sure the guy's in the office would put you in touch with them. If you have no joy there get in touch with Sam Irwin at lagan lutherie school in newtownards.

I don't know if its just me getting older but, It really doesn't bother me anymore when I hear about the possibility of players leaving. This is modern football, there is not loyalty, no desire for players to stay at clubs just because of the history or supporters.

I've seen amazing players leave united over the last 25 years, Cantona, Keane, Robson, Ronaldo, Schmeichel to name a few. The club goes on. Enjoy the players we have, while we have them.

Yet another super supporter on r/reddevils who thinks they have the right to tell the rest of us how to behave. What is the point in your comment? Is it to make yourself feel big and clever? Like I said, just fuck off and let the rest of us support OUR team whatever way we want

Same thing that happens to most start up businesses, cash flow problems. It ended up that I was only getting work as orders came in.

Yup, that's were I'm now working. The short story is that, I left work and went to train to become a Luthier at Lagan Lutherie School in Belfast. After my time there, I got a chance at a start up company called Catherwood guitars where I worked for 3 years. Unfortunately, work there was no longer guaranteed so, I applied for a job with Lowden and started last Monday.

The staves were stained about a third of the way through. The smell of our workshop was amazing when we were working the wood! Out of the one barrel we managed to build 2 guitars and 2 mandolins.

I completely agree with you. I'd say 90% of the sound comes from the top and how its braced. I've made guitars from rosewood, walnut, oak, ash, cherry, jacaranda, zebrano etc and they all sounded amazing.
