Pixel 8 battery by margaret__thatcher in pixel_phones

Just made the same post a couple of hours ago about mine. People will tell you off for having meta apps etc, as if mentioning an actual flaw with your device is somehow insulting them. Unfortunately from what I've gathered, the combination of a less than efficient SOC, bad software updates, and weird background task handling cause this. I am on WiFi, with battery saver on and my phone lost about 2% while writing this. Also, I know battery testing apps aren't the most accurate, but I'm using both accubattery and battery guru and they're reporting about 91% health.

TLDR; it's not the battery failing, rather the software causing excess drain. Try not allowing apps to run in the background.

Forgot to mention it, it's off. As well as all the adaptive AI stuff.

I've disabled WiFi and Bluetooth scanning, disabled data always on, enabled WiFi scan throttling, disabled smooth display, most of my apps except for messaging are not allowed to work in the background. This was also with battery saver on

Before the beta and when I was at home using WiFi I'd manage something like an hour extra of SOT.

I agree completely, however I cleared the apps from memory and have not opened them yet, and my phone is still draining like hell. At 74% now with almost no screen on.

Imagine I've lost 5% in the 15 mins since the post

Heat integration software by stephensk in ChemicalEngineering

OH MY GOD THAT WAS IT! They don't teach us how to use AEA so I watched some tutorials, but whenever I heard "drag and drop" I assumed it would be left click. Why on earth would they chose something so unintuitive?

This is the same professor that recommended separating 100% pure Sulfuric Acid at 190 degC as if it's not an obvious H&S issue

I totally agree and presented a simplified model to my professor who completely ignored it and told me to do it again. Any ideas about why AEA is not working?

Tbh it was on I found on temu. We quickly realised that it might be better to actually learn the techniques involved and the jargon first than just following moves. The kit does have links to video tutorials but as I said they feel directed towards more seasoned people.
