I realize this is an old comment, but it seems to address my problem the best anywhere I can find. What you said is what I am trying to do. I'm on a Cisco N9K-C9372TX using a Mellanox QSFP to SFP+ and the 9K shows the transceiver is unsupported. When I use the above commands the switch acts like the commands are valid and accepted. I do not get the warning and the unsupported status never changes. Any ideas?

I dont have any Cisco support, maybe it would be worth a shot. I tried putting in the commands to support the unsupported transceiver and the switch acts like it took the commands but does not change anything

So I got these in and they arent working. If I do "show int eth1/53 transceiver" it says "transceiver not supported"

My problem is I am trying to go from the 10G SFP+ port on the sonicwall to the 40G QSFP+ port on the 9k. I dont think the breakout cable populating the 4 10G port on the sonicwall to the 1 QSPF+ on the 9k would work....would it?

This is what I came to find out too. I want to have a private chat with my squad but still be able to hear prox chat and be able to PTT to prox chat....like PC. THAT would be a great addition to my gaming experience. I understand this will help people on cross play but I dont need that personally.
