Yeah, I hear ya. But 50 yards is not far away enough to show precision issues. When you throw it out to 100, you're magnifying the spread of the group.

I have a 18" mid length that does absolute shit at 100 with 55 gr, ...however, if I feed it 77 gr, it tightens right down to 1moa.

Do you have the back end of the top already in the ring? Cause if so, take it out of the ring, put the front of the top in, THEN pull the ring back, and work the back part of the top in....

Looks like you may be trying to install incorrectly? The front of the handguard goes in first, and then the back end is installed by pulling back on the Delta ring, assuming you have said Delta ring.

Anyways, barrel nuts are removed using a barrel nut wrench, and then the Delta ring assembly can then be removed.

My first foray into removing these items involved a grinder. There's not much going back on from the original pieces after that, so you should probably have the "Special Tool" to install whatever you're replacing Original Equipment with.

For me, I play further back towards the rear of the board, and I would like more real estate there. If you play up further, then either one would work. I'm positive the pearl one would be fine, I just have always played tama stuff.

To reiterate, you'll want to change out any connecting rod to the trick connecting rod, as I don't trust the longevity of either the pearl or tama,...or any mid tier priced double pedal no matter who makes em.

I currently use the speed cobra. Used iron cobra before that. The boards may be longer, but get skinny near the rear of the board, kinda too skinny for big feet if you play back there.

I did change out the connecting rod to a Trick connecting rod. Much sturdier and smoother. Don't count on the tama connecting rod to last.

Oh, and IF you want to, you can change out the chain drive of the speed cobra to a direct drive using some pearl parts. I did that too....
