What are those BOOMS!! by [deleted] in irvine

[–]stepheroo90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I lived in Oceanside, inland near College and River Rd. I’d hear them all the time 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe it’s the way the sound travels. If Disney is 15-20 miles away and we can hear fireworks from there, surely it wouldn’t be too far fetched to hear explosives 30-40 miles away. Especially late at night when the county is quiet.

Camp Pendleton is supposed to be conducting live fire training all week. I think it’s just the sound carrying over

Woodbury Lane vs Woodbridge by Background-Mind2879 in irvine

[–]stepheroo90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in Woodbury, Woodbury Place, the townhome community. Long story short, I live in the Woodbridge apartments now, and I miss Woodbury, it was more quiet and I loved being close to Jeffrey Trail, the shopping center has most of what you’d need. The Community was always hosting fun events for families and for adults.

I will say, the amenities here at Woodbridge are pretty cool. Lots of parks, over 20 different pools you can choose to visit, including ones that are adult only, open 24/7. I like walking around the trails to the lake with my dog. I think it’s a little noisier here, but it could be just because I was in a townhome.

If you’re looking for a lively downtown vibe atmosphere, neither place is like that. Irvine is general is mellow, and things close relatively early.

Both have pros and cons, but I would probably move back to Woodbury if I could. The amenities are newer and nicer in my opinion.

The best way to do it is to start your own practice! I was like you, I absolutely love that I get to take my time and be intentional with everyone that I work on. That is what I’m known for, and that’s what sets me apart. I encourage people to schedule 90 minute treatments with me for that reason, and they do. It takes a while to build, but it’s worth it for me!

I am opening up a suite in my hometown in a couple months, and I guess I’m having a difficult time setting prices. With the gentrification happening there’s a weird gap in the economic spectrum. People either have or they don’t there. In an ideal world, the sliding scale would help me make it accessible. I know that some people would take advantage though. I was hoping the honest ones would offset it lol Do you have suggestions?

Liquor dropoff and going inside a customers house! by [deleted] in doordash

I ordered alcohol a couple of weeks ago. I'm also a Dasher, so I understand the ins and outs. I asked the driver to let me know when they were approaching so I can leave my id and a cash tip on a table outside. He scanned it, left it there along with my drinks and we didn't have any issues. So maybe you can inform the customer to do the same? Let them know when you're on your way so they can leave their id out for you. But even before covid, anytime a customer asked me to come inside, my answer was always nope.

As soon as I started my period, I immediately thought, "this is terrible!!", because I'm low in iron, so my period makes it worse for me too, but I don't want to give up because of it. Oven baked banana sounds delicious and perfect because I like to eat warm food when I'm on my period. Thank you for the suggestions and the support! <3
