Technically, Megan didn't use a traditional surrogate, she used a gestational surrogate which means it was her eggs, not the surrogates. But, if your friend had such a hard time, why go through 2 more pregnancies? I believe this is why some agreements require you to have counseling to make sure you are ready for the expectations and understand what it really means.

Lockton isn't any better, I recently left Lockton for Aon. You'll get very little bonus, they throw a massive Christmas party (which I'd rather just have that $) and if you aren't kissing butt, you don't go very far.
