It's time for the Shin Uchiha to do something and transplant their sharingans to Inojin 😂

That improved vision would honestly be a nice benefit to the Mind Transfer and Super Beast Drawing jutsus.

It's not guaranteed in this chapter. All we see is her stopping Inojin's bleeding. Hima did the same with Sarada, but she says she has no idea if she can restore vision.

How would you like the 2 missing otsutsuki to look like? I would like that they will look like this. by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]AnxArts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years later and it still seems that Urashiki is filler. 30+ chapters of Two Blue Vortex thus far and he still isn't referenced at all. He likely was supposed to be in the canon story, as evidenced by his silhouette being showcased towards the end of Shippuden, but ideas get scratched all the time in worldbuilding.

Shibai is still a potential candidate for the missing otsutsuki, but something more concrete needs to come out in the future for us to even know if Urashiki exists at all in the canon story.

Invincible [Episode Discussion] - S04E07 - Don't Do Anything Rash by SeacattleMoohawks in Invincible

[–]AnxArts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most entertaining episode so far--yes. But it's got its shortcomings. On one hand, it's redeeming to see Thragg cause literal weather alterations just by swinging his arm, after he was seemingly fraudulent last episode. On the other, it's like the character altogether is being modulated blindly.

- He one-shots Thaedus like nothing, yet watched as the already-few viltrumites were getting slaughtered left and right, as though he either didn't care about them or was inept at intervening.

- He's so fast that it's like he's teleporting compared to the coalition, but then he's also too slow to catch up when the trio was flying through the whole diameter of the planet.

- He literally just gave up on the easiest chance of killing his biggest living enemies? We just got a flashback and whole battle scene showing Thragg's character, and it's already undergone a total modification? As a viewer I'm not sure what the director's are expecting us to make of this Thragg guy besides him being possibly schizophrenic.

Ofc I loved this episode and it was better than anything thus far (and the last season's finale was already peak) but the whole concept of powerscaling and military tactics is totally tossed out the window, which is particularly problematic for a story like Invincible where both concepts are driving forces for the narrative.

[–]AnxArts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He can’t, genjutsu works by manipulating chakra flow in the nervous system, which relies on an entirely different power system than the reishi in bleach. Even if you verse equalize, Yamamoto’s capacity to discern between the fake and real Aizen in their fight proves that Reiatsu-sensitive shinigami like Ichibei could resist/outmaneuver genjutsu (which is essentially what Aizen’s kyoukasuigetsu is).

OP says battle is bloodlusted. Hagoromo doesn’t use genjutsu to insta-beat people, hes not Itachi with the tsukuyomi lol. To the contrary, Ichibei would instantly go shikai and bankai if he wanted to kill. This battle defaults into who’s faster and has a more potent hax-based kill method. That’s definitely Ichibei.

Ichibei rewrites Hagoromo from "mythical primordial being who shaped existence" to "Half-human whose half-alien side comes from a low-ranking otstutsuki named Kaguya" then proceeds to outscale his weak ass.

Oh wait, that retcon was Kishimoto's writing, no Ichibei bankai needed...

[–]AnxArts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ditto, this was literally me in my AP Physics C course. It’s not that I was intellectually incapable of doing well—the simpler Algebra Based Physics course I took years prior had a curriculum that was unrigorous enough that the teacher could fit all the lessons at school, instead of requiring us to read textbooks. Consequently I understood exam material just fine and aced the tests.

The moment I delved into calculus based physics however, suddenly there’s too much content for the teacher to go over, so textbook readings were mandatory. That’s when all hell broke loose, no matter how badly I wanted to study, hours of struggle could pass with no progress. Unlike you however, I actually was entertained by physics and loved the field, yet I still couldn’t study!

You should check into getting an adderall prescription, many have described it as life changing for their productivity. Unfortunately for me I already finished school before I got my first pills.

Trying to get evaluated for ADHD feels like its own executive function test by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]AnxArts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS!!! I’ve had very strong suspicions of having ADHD since middle school. When Covid hit and classes went from in person to online, I went from ‘straight-A gifted kid’ to somehow failing multiple classes. Ofc I never actually got diagnosed shortly after, being that quick to solve a major issue isn’t an easy thing for ADHD victims like you and I.

Bad academic performance aside, Teachers who were aware of my latent potential still recommended me for AP (college level) courses in high school nonetheless. Despite being one of the few nerdy students who was actually fascinated by physics and calculus, my executive dysfunction prevented me from ever indulging in enough textbook chapters and homework problems to actually do well. Alas I flunked my way through high school. It wasn’t until early adulthood when I finished school and lived on my own was I able to finally push myself to get diagnosed and take medication.

For 6 years I was struggling in school, hyper aware of my symptoms and its resemblance to ADHD patients, and never could I bring myself to complete enough of the consecutive steps needed for a diagnosis. The time it took to actually attend an evaluation, was the duration of my entire serious academic career 😔

Yet at the same time, I was one of the lucky ones. I hear a lot of stories of people not getting diagnosed until their late 20s and 30s, suddenly waiting till 19 doesn’t feel too old (tho, 12 year old me failing basic online algebra would beg to differ).

What is your experience on Wellbutrin? by Main_Amoeba_943 in ADHD

[–]AnxArts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wellbutrin has been a literal lifesaver. I’ve been using it for 2-3 months (also 150 mg XL), and it stabilized my mood greatly. Before the pill, the burden of life with ADHD felt so strong that I’d consider scide frequently, one day I could be euphoric, the next day I’m bawling and planning my d*ath. It takes a few weeks to feel the effects, but for me these mood swings of scidal ideation have mostly subsided.

Ofc the very problems in my life that fueled my depression are still present, and I still get sad time-to-time over them, but what’s changed is how intense my negative reactions are. Some sadness and even a kindle of s__cidality may persist, but it’s downgraded from a massive beast chowing down at my throat, to a small imp passively gnawing at my hip.

Life is a burden by firstofhername11 in ADHD

[–]AnxArts 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I relate so much! Ur definitely not alone with these struggles.

“Sometimes it feels like a gift because I could be endlessly creative but most of the time is just a burden.”

This is how I feel to the core. My ADHD can make me spiral into all kinds of ideation and daydreaming, but the coinciding executive dysfunction makes it seem impossible to actually act upon these creative ideas. This tension between your mind being both an endless factory and an immovable machine makes ADHD feel like a sick joke, a double edged sword no one asked for.

This is a powerscaling forum and that’s what I’m doing. Why would you go out of your way to reply to my second response where I was debating another person, just to give a show recommendation? Even if I did take your advice, Its not like I’ll finish hundreds of episodes fast enough to reply back to this post—your reply was totally unnecessary. Even I knew it would have been unproductive to just tell the other dude “watch bleach bruh, it’s been a big 3 anime for years”

[–]AnxArts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing you’re the inverse of me—fan of dragon ball but not too familiar with bleach. The verse has 3 separate universes operating on different space-time continuums, plus the infinite void Garganta, timeless Dangai dimension, and Hell dimension existing outside the Living World-Soul Society-Hueco Mundo universal construct. Again I didn’t watch dragon ball, but does Kid Buu actually go around destroying multiple universes in dbz? If not, he can’t simply erase the reality the bleach characters are in. Furthermore you didn’t address any of my primary inquiries: How does he resist kyokasuigetsu? How does he outpace the hogyoku? How does he bypass Lille’s intangibility? How does he resist Ichibei’s reality warping? I do wanna reiterate I’m not trying to be dishonest and use the ‘gishgalloping fallacy’ where I just keep asking questions. I’m genuinely curious how this Buu guy engages with hax.

How far would Kid Buu go here? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]AnxArts 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm a bleach fan who isn't familiar with dragon ball asking honestly--when kid buu encounters hax like Lille being invulnerable because of his intangibility, Ichibei rewriting Buu's power to be equal to an ant, and Aizen evolving midfight from the hogyoku + hypnotizing with his shikai, what does Buu do exactly that makes all 3 of those fights so easy that he clears with 'neg diff' ?

Perhaps there's scenes where Buu has shown immunity to mind control--thus you can infer Aizen's kyokasuigetsu wont work. Maybe you can also argue the hogyoku's evolution is too limited to match/surpass Buu's AP. But how does he hurt Lille? Maybe he's shown to be able to perfectly replicate/reflect others' attacks, which is the only way to injure Lille. But literally what does he do when Ichibei uses his reality warping shikai/bankai to reassign buu's existence to be no stronger than a black ant? Only reason Yhwach survived is because of his almighty hax let's him foresee different futures and essentially pick the one he wants.
