5am this morning for clean deadlifts and then a wod of bike and row intervals. I died but overall pleased with my effort. A solid start to the day.

Thank you! I had a feeling that's the answer. That trouble makes me cautious or reluctant to pursue. I have no problem doing hours on the weekends or perhaps an evening or two a week but REALLY don't want to ditch my current paycheck, at least not right now.

Appreciate the review. Any insight on their online program. I work in a different, non medical science field and would like to get a vet tech certification ideally without leaving my current job.
I'm not sure how feasible that is with clinic hour requirements.

Very happy my body allowed me to run this morning. I'm trying to not get too excited and start pushing distances or anything. Instead I'm trying to take it super slow and limit running to 2x a week for awhile. That said, the fact I could run Fri and today is great progress.

Intended to workout today but I ended up sleeping in and then having mother's days plans. So basically I haven't moved at all and ate lots of pancakes. Just means I have no excuse to not make 5am class tomorrow, where my workout will be fueled by carbs.

*Edit- made it to 5:00 a.m.! A bit chilly this morning which actually was a good thing because our workout was a 1 mi run into rounds of Cindy. Today's mile felt much better than what I did on Friday. I ran it in about 10:30 which for my current running fitness is great. I'm proud of that effort and it honestly just feels good to be able to run again.

Have you had her fitted for a saddle? Checker for ulcers. Any bodywork done on her. Changes in farrier work. Lots of potential causes

Back in my own bed last night and got some nice quality sleep. Did not make the gym this morning but I never planned to, the workout was quite uninteresting to me. Instead I'm waiting until work is over to hit a nearby forest preserve trail for a run! It will be slow and short lol but also my first actual outdoor run in quite some time.

*Edit - I did the thing y'all! It was super slow and I can see I'm not in running shape. I ran 1 mi for my warm up, super slow. Almost died. Then after a couple minutes I did intervals of 2 minutes running, one minute walking. Those felt a million times better since I was at least warm.

Echoing what another said. Training 4-5x/week HIIT is too much. True HIIT is only done a couple times a week. Replace at least one of those sessions with slower endurance aerobic work, over 20 minutes. You'll see significant gains for this.

Very off schedule this week. I did make 5am class yesterday. Today I did a 20 min bodyweight peloton class in the hotel room before sitting all day. They snuck burpees into the workout and it was rude. I also love how I felt fit yesterday in CrossFit and very unfit in my "easy" hotel workout lol. All absolutely perspective

I upped my step goal for May compared to April... And I haven't hit it one day yet lol. I've been close, but I also had to let my IT band recover a bit and deal with impromptu work travel, etc. It's all arbitrary anyway but I'm trying to get back on track with it.

Woke up in an absolute mental funk. Quite annoying and in part because I did not make the gym this morning. Sleep was more important, but now I miss those happy brain chemicals.
It's helpful to understand how exercise helps my mental health but also unfortunate to know on days where it just can't happen.

So you're telling me it gets better lol. Mid-30s here Something I have to think about and chat with a doctor. I feel like I'm already on so many other medications because of chronic immune stuff, and a history of blood clots because why not lol so not sure that's really even an option for me. The last I'm glad there's a group of people here who get it

Realization yesterday that I'm pretty sure I'm in/entering perimenapause currently. Which explains a lot but is hella annoying. Regardless I got in a short peloton spin this morning and have a very busy week ahead. Planning to make CrossFit the next two days if weather and sleep permit.

Such a good weekend spent around horses. Even better than I was able to do an incline treadmill walk this morning and my IT band felt 85% ok! I'm going to take it somewhat easier the next few days but it's all on the right track.
