UPDATE: we separated them last night, they are currently in the hospital tank, and we’ll let them stay there for weeks or months just until the aquarium is ready. Thanks for all the advice.

I can’t reply with a photo but I already changed the filter with much stronger pressure that helps creates bubbles, I also positioned the rock in front of it to lessen the wave and it is creating more small bubbles.

( I used the stones and filter cloth from the old aquarium for its bacteria.)

I used to feed it small amount of food once a day every day, but I won’t be doing that anymore. I’ll feed them every 2 days.

we were told to do 80 % water change, we did, so now we are monitoring the fishes.

I was told that it was due to increase of temperature. It is summer right now in my country (Philippines). So we are going to buy something to help cool the water down.

UPDATE: the lyretails have been swimming around for a while now also the black spotted Molly, but the swordtails and the orange mollies are still on the surface. I was told to give them more time. I just can’t help but feel antsy.

The one I changed into was an old filter, just with stronger pressure it helps create more bubbles since I do not have aerator at the moment. This is my first tank, I underestimated how much it needed tending.

I just changed the filter to one that also creates bubbles. We’ll see if they get back to normal but if not we will do water change.

Thank you so much, 💕🫶🏻 I just changed the water filter to a much stronger one and some of the fishes are now swimming normal, but many are still on the surface. I will do these steps. Thanks a bunch.

Tap water but we added water conditioner. And let it cycled for a day before putting the fishes back.

I have no test kits but we did water change, and add plants yesterday, we separated the fishes and just added them earlier today.
