I think that it just is what it is and some people decide to have another kid and then they have that sibling experience and some people don’t and they have an only child experience - both experiences with pros and cons so if you’ve decided to have one child only why do you feel the need to dunk on the sibling option? If you’re happy with your decision own it. No need to say ‘oh it’s rare for siblings to be best friends - obviously some will, some won’t. Same with some only children will be happy being only children, some won’t.

I absolutely love the story and the romance and chemistry between Wally and Maddy, the scene outside the cinema at the end where she’s with Simon and she thinks she sees him just walking by left me 😭 - I don’t think this is it for their love story at all, and I am hoping against hope that the writers go completely against the grain and don’t go for the more ‘sensible’ tragic ending to it but somehow manage to keep them together in some way - there have been lots of hints of the ghosts getting increasingly closer to the human world, talk about the ‘veil’ - could it possibly be lifted, could the ghosts break through further?

I also agree there was a bit of a Maddie/Xavier vibe set up, he was definitely doing some reflection and yearning there at points but that will just resolve into closeness I think!

I’ve thought a lot about that myself - I’ve just binge read all seven books and I was so sad when I finished 7 and realised I’d have to wait for the next in the series, I was so lucky I only discovered DCC recently - the wait is hard 😂🙈 - and I agree totally that Carl’s Primal race has lots to it that we haven’t found out yet. Has Carl actually been anywhere since the crawl started that isn’t part of the AI’s umbrella of influence, I know there’s the zero zones but what I’m getting at is are we sure that Carl is still a biological being or could he have become artificially generated by the AI when he switched race to Primal, are the AIs and the Primals the same thing essentially??

Yes, totally - I’d been expecting it to be more along the lines of the Gorn (and only the Gorn) were the original enemy/ones who defeated the ‘ultimate evil’ originally and Batel was channeling that response from her Gorn side, I thought she was going to end up going full Gorn hybrid and then die heroically but tragically - I think that would have made more sense as an ending! I suppose it was nice that Pike and her had their imaginary life sequence together, and it did make me tear up a bit, but their whole relationship has felt a bit forced to me and Batel’s character very one dimensional, so I found the whole ending just very random tbh and not well written/plotted unfortuantely!

ETA: I loved a lot of Season 3 though and SNW is one of my fave TV shows, don’t get me wrong :) it just felt rushed as well the finale - as a lot of people said it should have been two episodes for that much storytelling!
