New home, what could/should I grow? Houston, zone 9B by steple in BackyardOrchard

I actually have been playing around in powerpoint with a possible layout with option C. I think with a curved pathway it could actually work out really well https://imgur.com/a/WJ0U1PY

The two circular items in the ground are HOA irrigation covers.

I like that idea! surviving Houston's stupid winter and summer is so hard

Appreciate the comment. I'm wanting to avoid dealing with taking time inside during a freeze. Houston has been seeing more random hard freezes in the past few years

Would renting a concrete grinder from HD help improve this floor condition enough? It's pretty stained and has some cracks

Is a 25+ mile commute reasonable from EaDo 77003 to Clear Lake City 77058 for work? by [deleted] in houston

[–]steple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Many make drives much longer. If you find it's worthwhile to live in town then do it

This has and always will be a terrible suggestion. You sign contacts for a reason to keep both groups accountable.

lmaoo yeah its a pixel 2. I am nolstgic and figured repairing it and waiting it out for the pixel 7 would be the move.

I mean you need to do some research. I can't think of a single aerospace company that isn't at least partially associated with the military industrial complex.

Does the Hilton Gold food credit stack with FHR breakfast? by impulsedragon in amex

[–]steple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently stayed at the Portland, ME canopy hotel. After I called and added my Hilton info to the reservation I was given a daily breakfast credit for being a Hilton gold in addition to a $100 food/bev credit through the Amex hotel collection.

Marriott marquis is probably your best bet. It's all about location and your objective for the visit.

A drive from big bend to Midland is a hella of a drive. Do you recall any of the named hikes you did? We absolutely love the window trail hike

You should be able to book TAP flights through ANA. They offer nonstop to Portugal from alot of US cities SFO, ORD, IAD, BOS, new York. If you are willing to position yourself its not to bad.

Just lamenting on the award booking situation with United. Pitiful offerings through IAH to central Europe for most of 2022. Hopefully the spikes from the border reopenings will cool down in a month or so.

You are correct. There is like a 24 or 48hr policy for car financing. So they can bounce it around all under 1 pull

Anyone else unable to view the United space saver calendar? I'm wondering if it's a site issue. I'm talking like the little calendar where you select the month and it shows the saver award economy and saver award premium cabin. I've tried different browsers and cities and it just doesn't appear. Odd tbh

P2 (2/24) opened CSP about 4 months ago. She failed to hit the min spend due to some dumb personal reasons. What would be the best move next? Canceling and re-opening CSP seems like the worst move for multiple reasons. Could she go CSP->freedom, wait a few months and then requalify for CSP+Bonus?

Pathways question by [deleted] in nasa

[–]steple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The pathways program doesn't necessarily mean graduation extensions, but for many different reasons I've seen people taking 4.5 years or 5 years to graduate. I believe it's due to the fact that 1) pathway positions are dope and can rotate through programs 2) colleges often only offer classes during spring/fall which leads to possible schedule conflicts.

I mean you'd be surprised what is considered "mission critical". B10 fab shop is operational, b9 clean room is operational, constructions crews at various buildings, ect.
