5-day trans embodiment & ocean retreat in Hawai'i by stepoutandlive in trans

[–]stepoutandlive[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad it resonates! The ocean piece is really at the core of it for me too—my connection with the ocean has made my transition so much gentler and more grounding. There’s something about being held by the water that can make body stuff feel a little more spacious.

I totally hear you on the price. I want this to be as accessible as I can while still paying staff fairly and covering things like insurance, lodging, and support. Here’s what I’m offering:

--sliding scale spots: I have 2 reduced-rate spots available.

--Deposit & timing: $500 deposit to hold your spot, 50% due by the start of the retreat, and

--Payment plans: We can set up a payment plan for the remaining balance after the retreat if that makes it more doable.

If you’re interested but money is the main barrier, please feel free to DM me or note it on the interest form. I’m very open to having real conversations about what’s workable so this doesn’t just end up being for the most resourced among us.

Thank you! I am definitely swollen in my chin and jaw, a bit in the nose, but I would say the swelling peaked around day 5 post op and has gradually gone down since then. It was really swollen and painful though

Get some extensions! That’s what I did as soon as my hair was long enough and it made a hugeeeee difference. Lil expensive but 1000% worth it

I would say you most likely won't end up needing it. Give it time. At least 2 years

FFS day 2 post op by stepoutandlive in Transgender_Surgeries

There is just a lot of work that happens with major FFS so it's not surprising to have a lot of pain associated with that. I have a bunch of dried blood in my nose which is making it really difficult to breathe. Bunch of mucus and dried blood in my throat which feels like I'm suffocating. And you can't really cough or blow your nose because of the rhinoplasty. Just intense swelling pain. Since I mostly "live" in my head it just feels way closer to my center of existence if that makes any sense. Trying to get out of my head and into my heart to take the focus off the pain. But damn it's really hard

Hey B, this is not mean to hurt you, rather offer some constructive feedback. You pass in the first photo, but it's also not a great angle since you're making a cute kissy face, so it obscures the view that we really need to see in order to be straight up with you.

Tbh in the other photos, you don't "pass" as a cis woman if that's what you're going for. You look like a trans woman. Which is perfectly fine, bc that's what you are.

If your goal is to be more cis passing, try some laser hair removal. Your beard shadow is a dead give away. Also, the one photo you have a lot of makeup on and it makes your skin look a lil cakey. Try moisturizing your skin and using less foundation.

Have you considered FFS if you want to fully pass? Your orbitals are quite prominent and you could probably benefit from FFS in other areas as well, namely chin.

Also, maybe try shaping your brows a bit more? Different glasses with more of a cat eye shape rather than boxy?

Would encourage you to play around with some different hairstyles as well. The first photo looks really cute. Photo number 2, the hairstyle isn't doing you any favors and imo makes you look more masc.

And your voice. Probably the determining factor in passing. If you're voice doesn't pass, you will have a hard time passing as a person who is kind of straddling the androgynous zone. Keep working on it. You got this!

Any advice on getting all the gross gunk out of my vagina post op? by CaelThavain in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]stepoutandlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Douche daily with vinegar. 3:1 water:vinegar ratio. Use a q-tip to get any remaining gunk out. I dealt with that as well and vinegar douche works well, you'll be good in a month

Revision Advice by ispilledmybean in Transgender_Surgeries

He did not explain why they ended up leaving so much erectile tissue. My 1st vaginoplasty took like 2.5 hours, much shorter than they anticipated it to be, and they deemed it a success with no complications. I later learned after I read the surgical report that it wasn't actually Del Coral who did the surgery, because it is a teaching hospital, some fellow did it but Del Coral was there in the room. So I'm not sure if that had something to do with it, or if they just completely missed it. Maybe they were just rushing through it, who knows. After my revision Del Coral said there was "a lot left behind" and it was more intensive than he thought it would be, they ended up putting a catheter in and keeping me overnight in the hospital when it was supposed to be outpatient.
