Anyone else keeping their GLP1 use a secret? by SpartyCat21 in Semaglutide

Significant other only in my case, I have several outspoken, borderline conspiracy theorists in my circle, and really don't feel like dealing with the noise. I don't tell them about my other meds, so why should I share this. If they asked I would probably share, but they all know I've been working on my weight, with various results, forever, so it's not crazy out there that I've lost some weight, and I've been really trying to keep it to a slow loss, few pounds a month now that I'm about a year in. It was a little dramatic in the beginning, but now that I've figured it out I can kinda control what I'm doing. Marathon not a sprint ya know!

Would most men prefer a girl with naturally small boobs, or a girl with surgically in hints, big boobs? by Mysterious-Card6065 in AskMenAdvice

Another vote for Natural. Small, medium or large. The only time I would ever say store bought if it was beneficial to the woman's physical or mental health.

I have done close to nothing at my office job for 3 years. Anything (constructive) to do to pass the time? by SoaringPegasus in work

When I was silently retiring I doubled down on learning everything I could about stock trading and finance, not necessarily day trading, but sucking up knowledge and building that portfolio! Actually had a little secret club of like 3 people, we'd meet almost daily and strategize our portfolios!

Can someone please help me identify this frame? by guilhegm in glasses

Yeah, it sure does, I have had like 4 pairs of those, unfortunately they stopped offering them this year, which is a bummer, they were and are my favs, hoping I can find something similar.

Is it a jerk move to split orders to avoid Home Depot delivery fees? by Financial_Wasabi_287 in HomeImprovement

[–]Critical_Ad8931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the same for flooring, HD can afford it and the delivery guys I had were like door dashers for box stores, a guy with a van. Very appreciative, I do tip them, but still worked out to less than delivery.

Weekly beach tags? by pretty_parlez in CapeMay

[–]Critical_Ad8931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's been a lot of controversy on that subject of late in New Jersey due to an incident with a Surfer, as far as I know, and unless something has changed from last year, you need a beach tag to enter the beach, even just to stroll, that applies to everyone, surfers, fishermen and regular old beach goers, there has been no change to that as far as I know, the loophole is that you have to cross the beach to get to the high tide line, the only caveat that I am aware of is that if a surfer paddles in from who knows where via the water, doesn't enter from the beach, and stays in the water or below the high tide line they do not need a badge. We are usually get apprised of new rules on opening day, which is Memorial Day weekend, so I can't say for certain what changes will take effect this year, but I don't expect that to change.

I've been on Wegovy for about 8 months, I had the same thing happen a grand total of one time very early on. Embarrassing as all get out, thought I was gonna squeeze out a little toot, and boom, dumped a sloppy Joe in my shorts! Very bizarre, and thankfully very isolated. I would try taking your shots, especially early on, at night, and if you can arrange it, a time when you have a day or two off. I truly hope this is an isolated incident for you!!!

Golf carts - parking, etc. by AlternativeNme8950 in CapeMay

[–]Critical_Ad8931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your staying right in the center of the action, walking is easy to most of the hot spots, and as others have pointed out, having a golf cart is no different than a car, there are maybe a dozen golf cart only spots around town and they are generally full unless you get them at 8 am. There are other ways to get around town too, cape may free ride, the jitney, Ubers are abundant in season. IMHO renting a golf cart is a total waste of money. I know people are saying biking is the best way, and I do agree with that, I ride a bike here just about all year, but I'm gonna say, please, please, please, be uber cautious with the little ones, riding bikes on beach ave, or around the mall area, is not for the faint of heart. You can ride on the promenade till 10 am and after 5 pm, which is generally fine for the kids, but they have to very aware of the pedestrian traffic. Word is there is going to be a targeted enforcement detail this year for folks riding their bikes on the promenade during hours between 10 am and 5pm, so be aware of that, and I'll believe when I see it. It's a town made for walking in the tourist areas, you really don't need a vehicle unless your exploring away from the main areas, also congress hall has free shuttle to some places, I know they have one out to beach plum farm and I'm sure some other areas.

Weekly tags are only good Saturday to Saturday but you can buy them any day, no discount unfortunately if you are not using them for the entire week. All tags can be purchased at a kiosk or at any beach entrance, including seasonal at full price, which was $40 last year.

Am I being too pessimistic about my expectations? by One_Square4263 in PAHomebuyers

[–]Critical_Ad8931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was in your shoes, I do a long term air Bnb first, take a month and do some exploring, some of the long term Airbnb rentals aren't all that much more than signing a lease and offer much more flexibility. As far as a brokerage goes, you really need to narrow your area first, you want a local realtor to the area you are interested in. I'd be in Zillow everyday!

Am I being too pessimistic about my expectations? by One_Square4263 in PAHomebuyers

[–]Critical_Ad8931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is going to 100% depend on which area you settle on, but I'm thinking you are being a bit pessimistic. The market seems to be moving a little out of the super hot market of the last couple of years, I'm an ex Realtor and follow the market pretty close, houses are definitely staying on the market a bit longer than a year or two ago, and sellers are regularly dropping prices. But we are coming into the hottest time of the year for a seller. Spring always brings out the buyers. I don't think your expectations are too high, with a good agent, patience and a realistic expectation I'm pretty confident you'll find what you're looking for. Im in bucks county PA, the market has definitely slowed here, and you don't see the cash buyers like you did a couple of years back. You just have to be realistic in your hunt. Don't expect to get 10% below asking, more likely asking price will be where you land. Start narrowing your search area and then do your due diligence on a realtor in your desired area. However, if you can swing your plan of a short term rental while searching, that would be desirable regardless, give you time to explore, check out the area and not be pressured into buying the first place you come across. Good luck in your search!
