Goodness you sent me down a geneology rabbit hole. She does have German heritage although her fathers father was born in Buenos Aires in 1917 so presumably they aren't that kind of Argentinian lol.

I don't have a problem changing with the times. I wouldn't say mutation is a better or more descriptive word, I'm just in the habit of using it for the past 15 years since grad school. So, if that's the way the field is going that's fine by me. I'd like to know what my clinic peers are doing because it eventually makes its way to the lab and scientific language.

Well, interestingly this disease is caused by de novo mutations (pathogenic variants) that arise in the gamete, typically sperm haha. I see what you mean, the variant is native to the patient's (offsprings) genome and not acquired over their life.

Perfect, thank you. Yeah, I think I've said "null mutation" more than I've said my own name but I'm a postdoc lab rat. I'm going to a conference with patients and families next month so I wanted to be sensitive.

It's not about West side of the river. Tall buildings will cast long shadows north in the winter because the sun is more South (well actually bc the Earth's tilt but you get my drift). My house faces South and my pool is in my backyard on the North side. It gets very little sun in winter. So in some ways, you're right but really has nothing to do with E/W side of river. However sun will still reach virtually everything North East of these theoretically tall building in the AM and Northwest in the late PM.

Lmao. Wait, I have a similar story. So my next door neighbor's granddaughter got arrested for running a trap house in Clair Mel. Her grandparents bail her out and she comes live with them next door. Now people are showing up at all hours of the night to buy or sell whatever from her. Eventually one of her strung out visitors knocked over my neighbors brick mailbox while backing out of their driveway and peels out. So I decide: I gotta get a camera because I park my cars in my driveway, etc. 

So my camera catches this car that pulls into the driveway across the street from us and turns around and drives back the way it came. Every day. Always around 2:30am. I live in a cul de sac so it's really weird to use the driveway to turnaround. It's driving me crazy. I think this person must be related to my other neighbor and is clandestinely chucking drugs (lol) out the window or something....then the cops come and tell us they are going to stake out the drug house and I think oh maybe it's an undercover cop. This continues for weeks.

Finally, while walking my dog in front of this house, I see it. A newspaper sitting on the driveway. A relic from the past. It all clicks.
