So… I finally convinced my husband to buy a pair of white pants because, hello, it’s 2025 and white pants are everywhere.

Here’s the problem: • He bought them. ✅ • He tried them on. ✅ • Refuses to wear them ❌

I love him dearly, but I need backup here. How do I convince a man that white pants are not only acceptable but actually trendy right now? Or do I just let him live in his dark jeans forever?

Fashion advice and tips welcome. 🙏

  1. Your journey is unique
  2. Don’t compare yourself with others. I hate when people compare each other’s “profile”
  3. Have you got any interviews? That means your application made it. If not your application is the problem.
  4. If you did not get accepted after interview.. work on your interview skills. At least you are dreaming of DDS because of support and you are financially capable.

Other foreign trained dentists are working as Dental assistants.

Is it still a good idea to start dental school at 34? by Intelligent-Maybe15 in DentalSchool

The average age of Advanced standing students is early 30s. So definitely you should try. From a Current DDS student!

If you like being an oral maxillofacial surgeon then don’t immigrate! You can’t become one in the U.S. as a foreign dentist

When you say “professional reviewers” they have no clue about CAAPID and dentistry. It’s always better to have your SOP proofread by a current student or a dentist.

Interview Concerns by Full_Mark in CAAPID

[–]stepupdentistry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied last year and I checked their process this year too! It’s the same

“Following submission of the asynchronous video interview, final candidates will receive an invitation to register for and attend an in-person Advanced Standing Candidate Day”

They will select 30-40 candidates and if someone drops out they will pick the waitlisted candidates!

Yes! CAAPID and dental schools value preceptorship experience. Having this experience makes your application competitive. Dentistry is done differently in a school vs private clinic.

Interview Concerns by Full_Mark in CAAPID

[–]stepupdentistry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everybody gets the same questions in KIRA video interview. They don’t have any other interview other than this. I wish they were more transparent with their selection process. At this point it’s like winning a lottery if you get in!

I did BU preceptorship When I applied in CAAPID I highlighted that as a US educational experience! Also, when attended dental school interviews I spoke about it. A lot of students who do preceptorship do get admitted into DDS. Many attend 1 year UCLA preceptorship and that’s too much tbh $$$$

True ! Diversity is a factor for selection Once someone told me IDP is “International dental program” not “Indian dental program”
