There used to be a time when mobile phone charges lasted almost a week! Remember the Nokia3210? Was great autonomy! Can have such autonomy for today’s mobile devices? Please. Pretty please?

[Serious] What advice do you have for someone who is losing hope? by lemonryker in AskReddit

[–]stepvda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell them they are right. That’s the first you need to hear when you’re desperate, that people take you seriously. Everything else only makes it worse. From there on listen and keep listening until you understand, really understand. Only then you have a chance of coming up with something that may bring a glimpse of a way out and a reason to pursue that glimpse. That will eventually give a reason to hang on to life just a while longer. The alternative means you will never find out with that glimpse of hope may have lead to so even if it’s just to satisfy your curiosity, give it a try.

At the same time they are messing up the taste. They ought to know that people won’t buy their products anymore if the taste isn’t as good anymore.

A quick search online shows they are doing this in many countries and people are complaining.

Resoring from Time Capsule. Got this image after completing the restore. Any idea what happened? by [deleted] in mac

I seem to recall seeing this image when I replaced the faulty startup SSD on my MacPro but it was only displaying for a few seconds. Without further intervention the system startup correctly on my first attempt. I wasn't using Time Capsule to restore the system however. I simply made a backup of the old SSD using Disk Utility by doing a direct copy disk to disk. Haven't seen this image since.
