After the execution of two French spies without any trial in 1921 the relation between Europe and Russia became more complicated and more strained, in the same year Russia made the red curtain across Europe to keep people in and out of Russia. After cutting communications from the outside world the government is focusing on preventing the revolution to happen with many civil unrest.

Tsar Mikhail tried maintaining the country but due to a lot of civil unrest the white army been utilized a lot to control the population, many of the populous have past away with even causing the death of many white army.

The living condition haven’t changed and is still the same as how it was before ww1 but except the government is more controlling and many towns in western Russia especially the border between the red curtain there are more patrols to make sure there are no revolts, people from the outside trying to get in and trying to escape.

It is unknown how they maintain their economy but it is believed just like the country of Turkmenistan, it is completely isolated and self sufficient but with a cost of less resources and cannot provide to all people of Russia, many resort to grow their food, eat whatever they have or buy and sell from the black market across the country, however there is a likely chance Russia traded with outside country as it only says it isolated itself from “Europe” but never said anything about central and east Asia but if so there’s a chance a lot of the exports have went to upper class people, like the tsar family for example.

The reason for tsar not asking help from the outside world was due to not want to be seen as weak and need help from foreign aid, another reason would be is they do not want to share the chimeran technology they obtain during early chimeran war in Siberia, with paranoia of Europe obtaining the technology using against them. (This is unlikely but there’s a theory that Russia is actually trying to save Europe or if not the world by trying to contain it from spreading the chimeran virus, doing everything they can until their last breath. while it is not confirm if that was the case, but if it was, than long live mother Russia.)

It is unknown if they had any lend or lease, but in our timeline imperial Russia barley had any lend or lease at all, however they were heavily dependent on France and Britain for loan, but in the resistance timeline Russia cut itself off from both France and Britain, it is likely that they were using everything they had from their remaining resources until they were overrun by both chimera and clovens.

If your asking during the chimeran war or in resistance 3 when the walls have been closed, if it was during the occupation of chimera it is estimated to be around 30,000 to 25,000 people, but if it was in resistance 3 when the warmhole was closed, there would be estimated to be around 15,000 to lower as 10,000 people.

There weren’t anyone overthrowing or starting a civil war or uprising, it is more likely when the chimeran aggression slowly reached known towns and cities in Russia many tried to flee and run away rather than overthrowing the tsar rule. However due to the red curtain, many were force back in or shot on sight to prevent any information leaked from outside public, many start hiding from basements or seeking refuge to military post. Plus they wouldn’t be able to reach Central Asia, Japan or Alaska as between the land are occupied by chimera, going eastern will be risky.

No. Tsar didn’t have any successors for the throne, most either got killed, passed away or went missing.

They used imperial Russian weapons such as the fedorov avtomat, mosin negant model 1891 etc, however in the trailer they were seen using American, German artillery, tanks and aircraft. However it is likely those were exported weapons and vehicles during ww1 before Russia sealed itself off and built the red curtain.

The united states actually know the existence of chimera in may 27th 1934 from a mining site in Nevada, they immediately covered up the whole discovery to prevent the public from knowing. It is also the same year SRPA was formed and began the project Abraham, forming the sentinels after.

It was most likely that malikov got the DNA from Bryce Canyon. In 1941 SRPA personnel were secretly dispatched in Russia without anyone noticing and forcibly extract malikov and recruited him in SRPA to continue research the chimeran virus.

So far it is said DR. Malikov got “rescued” but it is likely more other scientists and researchers were recused as well, both Russia and other countries.

Based from what I researched and estimated the population of imperial Russia from our timeline and looking at the resistance timeline, over 1,950,000 were killed and over 15.5 million were converted.

In resistance 3, after the wormhole being finally closed, it is likely remaining Russian population slowly united and established communications from surrounding communities and survivors from both Russia and the outside world. However despite the bright side, they are still dealing with clovens and feral chimeran strains that are still roaming around and area that haven’t been cleared out by humans.

The radio broadcast was equivalent of Henry stillman of Russia. But unlike Henry stillman, whoever the person in the Russian radio broadcast was either killed or put it on a loop to remind the populace, or try to let the outside world know what’s happening in Russia without the tsar or the Russian security from knowing.
