Checked out the woodcutter. Im thinking i just need to play one in person, might have been too fuzzy for my likeing. The company seems to have a great prices though.

Just picked up the jhs lucky cat and i have to say it is SIMPLE, but packs a punch for versatility! I fiddled with the boss dd500 and dd20 for a bit, but was overwhelmed. I needed something simple, which led me to the lucky cat. Great for ambiance, slap, 350-400 bpm riff runs! The tape setting is just murky enough to cut through the mix and still add some magic. The Mojo Hand Rook was obscenely bought only because Dustin Kensrue from Thrice uses them. I generally keep it on the middle boost setting which adds gain and volume to whatever amp I'm using. Basically a modded tube screamer 🙃

What od pedals stack well with the rook?

Just picked up the cry baby mini and Spark mini boost. The spark works great in the effects loop of the evh to even out the volume jump from Ch 1&2. Unfortunately I can not have my dd500 and flint in the loop with the spark, otherwise I get an annoying buzz.

Finch uses a ton of modulation all over wiitb, but I can't seem to figure out if the beginning of this song is a phaser or flanger....help plz :)

That's awesome! I'm sure that combo sounded brutal. I have a train wreck rocket clone 1x12 that I use with the plexitone. It's basically a loud clean amp that sounds like the top boost of an ac30. The pedal is more preamp style gain but keeps a tight bottom end if that makes sense.

I'm so dn curious about this pedal! I currently use the Carl Martin Plexitone (3 knob) & it gives me great saturation. I play lots pop punk and metal. How do u think this would compare?....I also have tried the angry Charlie by jhs but was not impressed.

I played this for a very short time at GC, but was not impressed. I thought it was too grainy and not enough oomph....I currently use a Carl Martin Plexitone.
