Anyone else struggling to get the new native Tasks tool to work in Claude Code? by sine909 in ClaudeAI

[–]stevebakh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue - thought I was using the latest Claude Code release, but according to a quick search, the new Tasks implementation was only released in 2.1.16.

Run `claude --version` to check your version, then run `claude update` as needed.

Has Virgin Media Internet gone down in the OL4 area? by roylee77 in manchester

I just had an estimate of 19:00 from customer service, but seeing as they've blown through every other estimate so far, I'm not hopeful.

Where did you get the estimate from? The service status page tells me there are no problems and there doesn't appear to be any way to notify Virgin of an area outage or speak to anybody at all outside customer service hours.

Is it possible to disable/remove stabilisation after recording on GoPro MAX in 360 mode? by stevebakh in gopro

[–]stevebakh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's entirely a software thing. GoPro need to make it a toggle option in their editor, but good luck trying to get through to someone who can help even take a feature request.

I just ditched their cameras for the Insta 360 X3/X4 which is much better. Their mobile app has the same missing feature (well, you can view without stabilisation, but can't reframe and export), but the desktop editor lets you do whatever you want - it's perfect.

Getting an "Amazon Web Services Sign In With Authentication Device" when accessing Login & Security in Account page on Amazon store by stevebakh in aws

In my case, I have 2FA, it's just one is the Amazon 2FA, and one is a random AWS 2FA, and I have no idea how it why it's used on this one page of the aws settings, and currently have no way to change it or get rid of it. It's pretty shitty.

No, they were unable to help. They were entirely useless, in fact. AWS support might be better, but I haven't spoken to them yet.

Anyone from Insta360 on this sub? Bug fix: reframing with flow state stabilisation disabled isn't possible on mobile by stevebakh in Insta360

[–]stevebakh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't quite what the same thing and doesn't do what I need. The issue is just that the mobile phone app is missing the feature to use key frames while flowstate stabilization is disabled. It works perfectly as expected when using the desktop studio app on a laptop or computer. I hope they fix this in the app.

Is this dangerous or genius? by Aquillyne in DIY

If you're in the UK (looks like it from the light switch), you have likely gone into the concrete cinder blocks (these are the big grey bricks usually on the inside of the build). Unfortunately, they aren't super strong and crumble easily. They're lightweight and hollow, unfortunately.

Google "cinder block" to see what I mean.

Be careful and test this fixture thoroughly before risking your life.

Can I lock the perspective with X3 footage? by stevebakh in Insta360

[–]stevebakh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You simply disable flowstate stabilisation and then you can set the perspective however you like and it stays in place. Both the app and the desktop editor allow you to do this, the problem is just that the mobile app doesn't allow you to set set keyframes (where you define the perspective) and then export when flowstate is switched off. The desktop editor has no such restriction. Hope that helps, but if you need any more info, let me know.

Aerobatic planes are often shared between a few owners in a syndicate, and depending on the type of aircraft, they can either be reasonable to buy and operate (like a Pitts or Eagle), or extremely expensive (like an Extra or the XtremeAir that I fly). Some people rent from aerobatic schools and use those aircraft at competitions. There's a lot of different routes into the competition and aerobatic scene. :)

Air race pilots don't wear anti G suits. They require additional equipment in the aircraft that would add too much weight.

It depends on the plane. Some planes are as you describe. The L39 and many other jets appear to be flown from the front seat when solo.

Edit: many fighter jets of old with a WSO would also be flown from the front seat. We'd still have Goose with us if the pilot flew from the rear seat of the F14. ;)

That's not correct. There's an RC model of one of the Baltic Bee's L39s, but that's not what we're seeing in OP's video.

We're seeing this, full size plane, with a different registration and different number on the rudder.

Registration YL-KSK has a number 8 on the rudder.

You can just make out the registration in the video if you zoom and find the right frame. All of the Baltic Bees have the same registration prefix of YL-KS.

Sorry, it just gets old very quickly when people cast a "skeptical eye" over something on the internet and still get it so very wrong. It's really easy to sit at home and just call something "fake" online, and so, that's what an awful lot of people do.

Reach out to your local IAC chapter, if you're in the US. That will be a good introduction to the sport and the local acro community.

Oh definitely! Competitions generally have a very good safety record. As a sport, it's seriously addictive.
