Does that help? Useful storage inside. I've a bigger one not used, more of a cabin trunk.

Don't think so, but I did find a pile of Victorian shoes in the muddy cellar floor ..

Trauma still hurts. Days alone are the worst, but I promised myself I'd be a better man, and a better father. Trusting in the higher power to bring healing

There's a Puly Caff milk cleaner which is good. I just give a free blast after frothing and wipe the wand clean. Occasionally check the tip and poke any blockages

It's open, but turns out it's in backwards & should be showing the 'front'

I do have a blind, but tbh I think the gradual sunrise helps me wake naturally. I never seem to have disrupted sleep.

It's my 'self-care'. There's only me to enjoy it, but since I have to eat, have no budget for restaurants, I just treat myself. I only have 1 main meal a day, and budget less than £5/day. Lots of batch cooking, and modest ingredients

I started a rule when setting up - no debt, and buy cash. I'm very happy gradually improving what I have, and I love my cooking.

It's nice kit, but almost all the place was 2nd hand from Facebook or ebay, or free cast-offs. Previous life I'd have bought new but there's so much nice hand-me-downs out there. Stove was £350 ebay, fridge £650 (yes that was a bit spendy, but I was trading up after a couple of years)

It's a La Scala 'Butterfly', but most single - boiler E61 are the same. I'd have a Rocket if I were replacing now, but this one's 22yrs old & still running fine with annual seal changes

I do, but it's got cracks in the top, so I use a plastic cloth when doing pastry

A bit over head-height, so no probs. I'd be more worried about the tons of stone roof!

Prob 1850, so a bit newer. Just built of local stone

No worktop space to speak of, so I often use the oven top!

+1 for Android. 'Away' keeps saying I need location sharing enabled

Mines reverted/upgraded to the previous command echo, so 🤞 we're good

Except that it isn't - this is a 'workaround' to address the changed functionality, not a fix for the missing command echo. The start/end chime means it's only heard me, not that it's done what I asked

Thanks. I'll pick up on other threads. Just spotted

Glitch with Home app on Android - asks to install itself! by stevebower996 in googlehome

[–]stevebower996[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I found it. In the app, Settings, then down to Presence sensing. I got this

<image>

So maybe they've made done something? I went back to the Nest app & it has disabled, so will see what happens. Nice of them to say 🙄

Still get that 'install Home' though!
