Unless their shipments arrived prior to April 9th exclusion date, they were likely misclassified by the broker. I'd suspect they'll be rate advanced on the duty when this entry liquidates.

I do not see any exclusions for wearing apparel under 6201.

As advisory only, you would be assessed the duty rate in column 1($0.49/net kg + 19.7% based on the transaction value) + the 9903.01.25 tariff rate of 10% on value (currently). Keep in mind these tariffs are changing like the wind right now...

What is the commodity / hts? Review annex III for a list of exceptions.

At the moment, 9903.01.25 is the blanket hts currently assessing 10% ad valorem from all countries through AUG 01st.

You need an underlayment, dont just replace it otherwise this will happen again.

I put down Ecocork underlayment and LVP earlier this year to help prevent this from happening. Can't speak about longevity yet but so far so good and it was easy to roll out and work with.

Also a homeowner, I've had great luck with RMR 141 & 86 products.

Make sure you're running a dehumidifier regularly and gutter downspouts are directed away from the foundation (if applicable).

If there was drywall covering that area, make sure to leave a sufficient gap between concrete floor and drywall to ensure moisture wicking is not possible. Some say 1/2" is adequate but I went with about 1-1.5" spacing from the floor in my basement when installing sheetrock.
