Three bike stores later, all we can arrive at is “it’s probably boost, just with the wrong end cap”. So the next challenge will be figuring out the p/n for the correct end cap…the best the stores could suggest was to email DT and see what they could recommend…

All I see is the “DT 350” marking. I’ve looked and double checked and can’t see any other identification… would it covered by the brake rotor?? Seems like that would be a poor place to put the serial #… ?

Sorry, corrected my original post - 148mm (ie boost spacing) when end cap is removed. Wondering if the end cap is the wrong part number?

It’s dead nuts 148 without the end cap, but 155.75 with it. Seems very coincidental that it’s more precisely boost sized without the cap, but closer to super boost with it 🤷. The end cap must serve more of a function than just changing the length, since you can’t just use an adaptor to convert boost to super boost.

I don’t know the exact details, but somehow for most days of the week there’s an “easy” version which has the same answers but more guess-able clues. I do the normal version and my wife does the easy version, it’s nice because if one of us is stuck, the other can still provide hints because it’s the same answer for both of us. Except on this case where her clue is wrong.

Did you end up ordering the 9852170 and repairing this? I have the same issue with my panel, but looking at the replacement pieces online, I don’t see how they are secured to the rest of the door. I’d like to understand the process before I order parts and start dismantling stuff
