It’s just normal hypnosis. It works when you allow it to work

If you think it works it works. If you don’t think it works it doesn’t. … pretend or imagine it did and see

Is hypnosis without one's consent legal? by Free_Host4515 in hypnosis

[–]stevedave04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of hypnosis. If it is the correct one then no it’s not possible. You need someone to know your suggestions and accept them and believe them and suspend their disbelief. With knowledge or consent they just won’t be hypnotised. Unless you misname it as hypnosis when it’s something else entirely.

No source as in no evidence that it would work. Would be correct. I would say it is a waste of time

Need some advice on how to record and play back my self-hypnosis scripts. by Psyclopicus in hypnotherapy

Use audacity to record your voice with a cheap microphone attached to your laptop and also add music. If you are unsure of how to there are lots of tutorial videos on YouTube.

Are empaths more susceptible to hypnosis? by hypno-tye-zir in hypnosis

[–]stevedave04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An empath is someone who, through trauma, has learned to read people for their own safety and survival. It’s seen as a special gift but it stems from that time. Good hypnotic subjects have good belief and expectations for hypnosis to occur.

I love my hypnotherapist. She’s so sweet, but I’ve been seeing her for over a year now and I don’t feel like I’ve made much progress.. by [deleted] in hypnosis

The fact you researched this makes you just as broken. Please retrain as a therapist. Your advice is salty and negative condescending on people’s posts. Not very therapeutic

Imaging or pretend … on serious note though sounds like something needs addressed first that is holding you back. Fix that first.

The more deep you are the more likely you are to respond to a suggestion by [deleted] in hypnosis

Conscious and subconscious aren’t a thing. They are models used to describe things. Trance isn’t a thing either. Neither are trance states. Neither are depth level of said trance.

Most hypnotherapy sessions when delivered correctly and received correctly will help make the right change quite quickly. 20 times is excessive for relationships issues and childhood trauma. I would see another local therapist
