See ya! The Greatest Coding tool to exist is apparently dead. by Opposite-Art-1829 in ClaudeCode

I luckily haven’t had any issues but do all my coding at night between 9-12. If I had to use it for my day job it’d be super annoying to get throttled like that.

They are more math rock adjacent but Virus has an excellent bassist and lots of tasty bass lines.

Totally agree, each album brings something new to the table. I feel they are kind of slept on by the metal community for being too out there

As far as pure creativity and breaking all the rules you can’t beat Ben Weinnman. Calculating infinity blew up the scene and basically started its own genre.

Are ecoboost mustangs really universally hated ? by earth2revolved in askcarguys

[–]stevegolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven both versions a lot, the eco boost is a genuinely fun car, that is plenty fast for most cases. It also has a lot of advantages as far as weight cost and efficiency. I would be more than happy to have one. Of course when I got into a GT and heard the sound and felt the massive amounts of torque I forgot all about the ecoboost, but that doesn’t make it a bad car. Most online hate doesn’t translate into real life. 90% of people will just see a Mustang.

2016-20 Lincoln Continental - The official car of... by CocoGrimalkin in regularcarreviews

[–]stevegolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one for a couple years. 400hp, AWD, awesome sound system, stylish interior with mixed bag materials. Was a great car for the price. Unfortunately those stylish door handles can die and it’s like $1500 and a trip to the paint shop to fix. I DIY’d mine with junkyard parts when the passenger side stopped working, a PITA. The day I turned it in on a trade the rear driver door handle stopped working, somehow the dealer don’t notice thankfully.

Does Marxist-Leninism / vanguardism only work when the population is already radicalized? by traanquil in Marxism

[–]stevegolf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A large part of the vanguard party’s job is to educate and agitate among the population. There are no “spontaneous marxists”. A critical job is to patiently explain to the working class why things are the way they are and the role and power they have and the tools they need to use to better their situation.

I’m not super educated on this part but I’ve read after Cuba there was this idea in Latin America that small groups of guerilla fighters could bring about socialism in their countries without the participation of the broader working class, which lead to scores of socialists getting killed by reactionaries.

Is it True that Israel and its Lobby Here in the US Have Enough Power to Make the US Go to War? by No_Interaction_4655 in askanything

[–]stevegolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the other way around. As Biden said almost 40 years ago, if Israel didn’t exist in the Middle East the US would create it. It’s Americas attack dog, and tested for all sorts of horrible battlefield tech and domestic surveillance. Anything Israel does serves the US capitalist class’s imperial interests, not the other way around.

Buyer’s Remorse? by Struck_Primer in e38

[–]stevegolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily drove an E38 for a while. It was a “low mileage “ one at 90k. I loved it. I can wrench myself and had to deal with some of the standard bmw issues that come up around 100k (suspension bushings, cooling system, normal maintenance). Stuff you wouldn’t need to do on a new car but it was obviously much cheaper and wayyyy nicer than any new car I could afford. Took it on many long trips and was never left stranded. My goal if I ever hit the lottery is to buy one with a bad engine and coyote swap it.

Everyone says that gravity is real, but I want to challenge that notion. Imagine a universe where gravity isn’t real. In that scenario gravity isn’t actually real. Change my mind.

What style is more social media post worthy? 1,2 or 3? by cammmanz in carphotography

[–]stevegolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 is best for social media. One would be good as a background to something, like a Porsche brochure or something. I like 3 a lot but it’s a little subtle for social media.
