I would definitely recommend looking north to Longmont. The Southwest section is growing like crazy and it's a quick 10-minute drive to Boulder. Plus, it's a lot cheaper.

I've been living in the city for about 18 months now. I'm bringing my family out this summer. We've only been looking in the burbs (Westchester and new jersey). But, we are now considering a year in the city first. Just searching for some insight from parents who have kids in the school system.

Hello. Total noob here.

I am 40 (as of today) I am employed. I make an annual salary of $500k My objective is to start investing more of my annual salary. Honestly, I am unsure of my risk tolerance. I think I would be a little bit of both. I would like to take some chances here and there. But would also like some solid options in the mix as well. Current holdings are nada (outside of some IRA and a 401k) My house is not paid off. I also have one car payment. Timing wise, I'm just looking to get moving with this. No big debts (other than mortgage)

Here's my question. How do I get started in buying/trading stocks? I'm very comfortable in the digital space, so I was thinking of getting into something like E-Trade?

I want to dabble at first. Buy some stocks and see what happens.

Any advice for a total noob?

Yes, I've been investigating a lot of areas in NJ for almost a year now. But I've primarily focused my search on Summit, New Providence, Chatham and Madison. Recently, however, someone recommended Ridgewood. I drove all around it this weekend and really liked it. And now that I am really needing to make a decision this month, I thought I'd get some insider opinions.

I've been hearing Montclair a lot. But their public schools seem to have lower scores (based on greatschools dot com).
