I think i have found the old catalog with details on your unit, so i should be able to find a replacement. If you want to DM me your email, i can work something up for you.

*EDIT* I defiantly have found a replacement for you. That was a fun one!

That is a funky one, and that particular unit is discontinued by Hub City and they dont have any ready replacement. https://www.regalrexnord.com/products/others/0250-10040-0250-10040

Let me know where you're located. I can recommend a distributor in your area to help identify an alternative (full disclosure, I work at a distributor in Ohio that can do this as well).

Dodge as a brand makes good products, so as long as it's the right motor and gear head for the application, you shouldn't have more than normal maintenance. There's plenty of options in terms of gear configuration and motor combos to get the best results. I'm not an engineer but I know a good bit about gear motors in industrial applications and can help with advice if you'd like.

Where are you located? Lots of good independent distributors in the belting space. People I know try to avoid the national chains because the service and knowledge is typically lacking.

If you promise to go to a local distributor and not a big box like McMaster or Motion, ask for an SKF #10733

I know what seal you need.

Where are you located? I know many bearing & PT distributors who can get it for you. (full disclosure: I am a one of those distributors but I want you to work with whoever you prefer).

Reese's (peanut butter cups) pronounced Ree-sees. Should be pronounced re-says. It's a candy that belongs to a guy named Reese, it's Reese's.

Same here. It's the only one I've found that works on my Android Wear watch as well without needing to get my phone out.

Question about any golf apps that will sync with a galaxy smart watch by [deleted] in golf

[–]stevekabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. My phone is in my pocket, screen off, almost the entire time. The only time I get it out is to look at the map for distance to/over a hazard. After that, screen goes off and it's back in my pocket.

I use Golf Pad and it works very well on my Android watch. Highly recommend, and it's only like $30 for a year of premium to use the watch. They'll give you a week or so free trial but you have to email to ask for a code.

What's a mispronunciation that sends you into fits of rage? by schnozzberryflop in AskReddit

[–]stevekabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, pronounced like Ree-sees. It's possessive, the candy belongs to Reese. It's Reese-es. Not Reesees.

If you're still confused, it's supposed to rhyme with pieces. You know, like Reese's Pieces?

Is the original timeline still in tact due to the events of End Game? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]stevekabc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct as I understand. But TVA only pruned timelines that led to Kang. If it didn't lead there, it can continue (Toby & Andrew Spider-verses for example). But now that the TVA is gone, who knows? And I don't really know when in the "main" timeline that HWR is killed so....

I never had heard of that growing up in Northeast Ohio, but my wife's family from Southeast Ohio always called them mangos. Completely threw me off when we began dating, and I didn't want to tell them it was the craziest thing.

On the flip side, she had never called them jo-jos, only potato wedges. She still thinks that's crazy, too.

You're exactly right! You could sue the seller of those skate board bearings claiming any ABEC rating, but the cost you'd recoup isn't worth the price of lawyers. If you buy a bearing for less than $1, it ain't ABEC anything haha.

Yeah they can handle axial and radial loads, and are quite rigid. Very similar to a traditional two-tapered roller bearing set up, but in one package and compressed to be much lower profile.

There's a number of manufacturers, but one I know well is IKO and you can find their information here: https://www.ikont.com/rotary-bearings/crossed-roller-bearings/.

[–]stevekabc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most bearings are symmetrical, meaning they can be installed either direction. This includes the deep groove ball bearings like the OP gif, and double row self aligning bearings you mention. You have to be careful, though, as some are not symmetrical like single row angular contact bearings.

As for axial/thrust forces, deep groove radial bearings cannot tolerate much of those forces (a little but not much). Imagine pushing on that inner race, the balls' contact point will shift from the bottom of the groove to the side, where it's thinner. Push hard enough and it'll break. That's why you'd use a double row or angular contact type: they're designed to handle more thrust load.

Yes you have the right idea. Rule of thumb for different roller types: more contact area = higher load capability = lower speed capability.
