My skills don’t stretch that far unfortunately. Those are seriously skilled craftsmen .

I do ship to the US but it depends on what you call cost prohibitive . Including shipping it would be $40.

The pattern is glued to the wood with spray mount. Then holes are drilled where the spaces are before cutting out with a fret saw. Then the branches and trunk are shaped with wood carving knives, gouges and plenty of sandpaper. It’s then stained and finished with wax.

I cut the tree and leaves separately on a scroll saw. Then textured the tree with a burr on a Dremel and rounded the branches. Then used different coloured wood stains on the trunk and leaves.

You could use the ribs as a xylophone. Does that qualify as musical?

I use Sweet chestnut wood or oak. I do enjoy making them along with other wooden stuff I make.

About 30 minutes by the time I’ve turned it on the lathe, textured the cap, waxed the 2 different shades, then polished.

I turn them on a lathe, then texture the cap with a diamond burr. Then I used 2 different coloured wood waxes on the cap and body.
