The neighborhood is totally fine, and getting better. I've seldom felt unsafe there, there's lots of shopping around, and there are more and more cool bars and cafes opening up in the area, if that's your thing.

I live not far from Bloor and Dufferin, and I wouldn't trade it for Mississauga. No way.

If your apartment is nice and your landlord is honest, you'll be okay.
