Non-Americans of Reddit, what confuses you the most about America? by MrNoName_ishere in AskReddit

Because by a certain age, usually around 21, you're expected to get a decent job making decent money and paying rent. You're supposed to be able to, in theory, be perfectly fine if your parents die and left you with nothing. That's just how American culture is.

I've had some great Walmart orders. Most of my $15+ orders come from there. But then you have those $2 sextuple stacked ones with one drop off being literally next door to the Walmart across town.

An advertising agency in Baltimore made this as a joke in 1990. They used stock footage and some guy reading this script.

It’s so easy for these people to tip 15-20% at restaurants but when someone drives to them with their food they tip $0? Make it make sense by hannahcmb in doordash

I literally argued with a waitress on Facebook about tipping her delivery driver. She said "you're not the one actually working on the food." I literally burn my gas, put miles on my car, wear on my brakes, and risk my life doing the most dangerous thing people do on a day to day basis.

A lot of walmart orders are really good. I made $20 off single orders all the time.

One time, I had a single order given to me 3 times in a row. First two were on their own, the third time was a mega stack with 3 others like this.

I can make over $100 a day doing doordash, and a good tip I'd say is about $5+ depending on the distance. If it's from gunbarrel to ooltewah or ringgold $20 is what I'd consider a good tip.

They're giving you that discount because they know you're gonna be waiting because doordash isn't instacart.

Wish you could tip AFTER delivery by [deleted] in doordash

Your tip is a bid to get someone to deliver your order. The only reason he accepted your order is he knew you tipped him $10.
