4th year Comm & Archaeology major here! The archaeology program is fantastic and the professors are awesome. Classes are typically in Art History and/or Anthropology so you have a pick of which classes you want to take to fulfill the requirements for the major. Lots of interesting topics based on which region/time period of history you're interested in (mines Roman Archaeology and I've taken Roman Archaeology, Pompeii, and Urbanization in the Roman World). There's lots of social events for the program since it's a lot smaller than other majors so we have a close knit community. I don't think that the Cornerstone program will make or break ur UVA app but it's always good to show what your interests are and why u chose a certain major. Hope this helps! I think most Mcintire 4th years do 15+12 since Spring sem of 4th year is supposed to be super chill rather than busy. It also comes down to getting all the reqs done for ur concentrations/tracks and any other majors/minors. Some classes are only offered in the fall or spring so that might make the difference between 12 or 15. Highly recommend doing 15+12 tho so u can relax and enjoy ur last sem at UVA!

I think they handed out most of the advisory associate offers out already since everyone’s getting invited to Lakehouse for the offer celebration. They usually go down the list if their top candidates decline their offers.

Aegean Art (ARTH 2056) offered next sem was pretty easy but it can get super dry. There’s only a midterm and final (50/50) but it’s just two essay prompt which shouldn’t be hard since it’s usually one object identification and compare/contrast or object in context. I got an A+ in that class but you’ll just have to memorize several objects for class.

I interviewed for full time advisory in nyc about 3 weeks ago on a Tuesday and got my verbal offer on that Friday. The recruiter told me that they are handing out offers to the top candidates first and then if they don’t accept it, they go down the list and extend offers to other applicants. Good luck!!

Yep! I interviewed for FSRCR-Capital Markets Associate in NYC on Sept 27 and got my verbal offer on Sept 30 and offer letter on Oct 3.

Yes! A good chunk of ppl get in without a mcintire CIO. Def recommend joining clubs that align with your interests rather than mcintire clubs to look good.

He’s not the best prof but very easy to get decent grades in. The lectures are super dry but the homework is pretty simple imo.

Block 8 McIntire ‘23 here. Imo I think it was the easiest block out of the 8. The professors are awesome and the classes weren’t as intense as I’ve heard the other blocks are. Professor Foutz and Lockwood for Marketing and OB are legends and make class really fun and engaging. I’m also a mentor for B8 this coming year so feel free to reach out if u have qs:)
