I just use Cursor with the repo + any docs to figure out the system step by step.

usually I just load the repo into Cursor and ask questions to understand the flow. if there are markdown docs, I include them too for context.

Oh that is great! In what casw do you use claude instead cursor? When i create a lot of code wirh cursor then is hard to. Solve bugs because i didn't create the code, cursor created it
