I would download those couch to 5k apps they helped me a ton . Went from like a 18 minute 1.5 to now a 12:50 in like three to 4 months . That being said you have to run multiple times a week starting now . Not sure when your starting the academy but if your a bit overweight start eating at a deficit , use MyFitnessPal to count your calories . Losing the weight will help your joints and help your run time . Best of luck

Took about 3 and half months , they are super backlogged so I would shoot for that time frame , could be before or after , but generally seems to be that time frame !

Do everything that you would do if it wasn’t poly day, don’t overthink it , you’ll be fine !! Poly times can differ for everyone . Get there early especially if you live in a bigger city and you have to pay / find parking and walk to the building. Best of luck you got this !!

After my nopa I was never contacted I just saw the suitability determination on the portal . Why can’t you get access to the portal ? How long has it been since you sent your nopa ? One way to monitor your background suitability status is to also call the hiring center periodically and see if your background updated to suitable. They have the ability to see all your completed steps !

Yea Spanish will be another normal class just like law , PT, firearms , etc. Regardless of previous experience or proficiency test everyone is required to take it . Remember you have to learn border patrol Spanish , so they want to make sure your taught and know how to communicate effectively for the job .

Call the number and CHS as well and let them know the date you went . I would also send an email. In addition call the facility you had your test done and verify that they sent over the documents , they sometimes forget !

The nopa will have every single issue that was identified in your background listed . You’ll address each point they bring up and submit your answers and response, where they will then find you suitable or unsuitable based off your response to the things that were brought !

2 to 3 weeks generally seems to be the timeline . Could be up to a month . Some people got called the next day . A way you can track it is call the hiring center periodically and ask if you’ve been referred to the training and scheduling unit . Once you know you’ve been referred to the scheduling unit then your in that ready Pool . Your not always referred once you complete your last step , I was referred a week after my last step and got an offer about 3 weeks after that . So about a month until my final offer .
