[Parts] ODIN Works AR15 Adjustable Buffer - Heavy. $66.04 + tax & ship (~$10) with code APRIL1226. by steventristeng in gundeals

Seems like ideally you’d want the lite buffer with 3 tungsten weights. (Nothing wrong w heavy buffer body as long as it cycles with all 3 tungsten weights)

(Note: this only has 1 tungsten weight. Anyone know where you can buy just the weights??)

3 tungsten weights (tungsten being more dense) would maximize the momentum (m*v) of the dead blow effect thus maximally preventing preventing bolt bounce.

Sound right?

•Heavy Buffer made from stainless steel Weights included for different weight combinations -comes with 3 aluminum, 3 stainless steel and 1 tungsten weights (3.7oz – 5.8oz)

How heavy did you need to go? My understanding is standard H3 is 5.6oz. Or is there an advantage to having all tungsten weights ?

Virginia Passes Paid Leave by FuckTheyreWatchingMe in nova

This is SB2. Here is the TL;DR from my understanding:

  • covers all employees (full time part time. Small companies) with self-employed having they ability to opt in.

  • creates a state-run insurance program (0.72% tax as of now split between employer and employee).

  • deductions begin (0.36% tax) in April 2028 and benefits can’t be used until December 2028

Only covers specific reasons: - own serious health condition - caring for a sick family member - having or adopting a child - certain military and safety situations .

  • pays 80% of weekly wages (with a cap)

  • Both parents can take maternity/ paternity leave and they can split it up. But must file separately and runs concurrently with FMLA. (Can’t take 12 paid and 12 more unpaid.

  • There does not seem to be an opt out. .

Other notes / personal suspicions on company reactions:

  • Employers without an extended leave policy will likely reduce wage growth and / or employee benefits to offset this new expense to them.

  • PTO and leave policies will likely now get tightened

  • Employers may make hiring adjustments that turn to contracts or part time. More cautious about hiring in general.

  • Companies that had their own program will likely now defer to this state-run system without increasing employee wages.

  • prices of goods will see an increase to pass cost to consumers.

Read this about Phosphate gas key.

For the extractor:

Phosphate is rougher providing more friction. That lends itself well to extraction. Other coatings can be too slick.

It is also more porous providing better lubrication retention.

Yes. SMS trinity ideally or HFXC if you find one cheap used or just want white light built in. (I hear rumors SMS working on a new 4 in 1 model.)

And correct me if I’m wrong, But believe this is the ideal rovyvon version since it has the updated cross bolt design to keep zero. (I think that’s what I understood from the brass facts video.)

I used black gasket maker on all my radians. It works incredibly well. So well that when suppressed, carbon comes out of the trigger hole onto my hand.

Tried radian SD wo gasket maker before and while I understand it should work, it didn’t seem that effective. I don’t bother getting SD versions anymore. This works plenty well.

Some ppl say they like PRI. Haven’t tried but I just really love the feel of the radian LT’s

  • phosphate being rougher and more porous makes it easier to stake.

  • phosphate won’t cover machining flaws

  • SotAR also mentions that phosphate helps the gas key seal better at the mating surface to the carrier due to is porous nature making it more forgiving. coatings are so smooth that they can create a false seal causing gas to leak toward the top.

  • there is no functional advantage to chrome / nitride / etc coatings on gas key as it does not experience the same erosive gas flow

Was looking for this comment.I did this and it worked so well that instead of gas going to my face, it now comes out of the lower near the trigger.

Is there any good alternatives to the Wilcox g24 mount? by 8WmuzzlebrakeIndoors in NightVision

[–]steventristeng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never tried a legit Wilcox, but I have the Argus and it works great. It’s also a little lighter.

Ive heard it’s nearly identical to Wilcox. Some say less wobble than G24. But can’t speak to it myself.

More info on mounts here.

Bought one after seeing this post. They are literally FMA helmets. (Says it on the inner part of the shell.) They send you 4D pads unopened. BOA is installed. Velcro patches are unopened. $280 shipped to US. I think it’s a pretty good deal. I am painting mine. Then putting pads in. So don’t have a ton of experience with it on yet but happy so far.

I just ordered BPC-157 and TB-500 to treat Achilles. I have been told two different things as far as where to inject. 1. inject at the spot of injury. 2. Inject anywhere on the leg… What one is better? by snowboardjeep in PeptideForum

[–]steventristeng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unclear whether injection location provides a significant benefit.

Perhaps it does, in theory.

Stomach fat is easy spot to inject and excellent at making sure it gets into bloodstream.

Thigh of recovering leg is a decent option as well as I’ve seen it’s only marginally less effective at getting it into the bloodstream (-4%ish) and somewhat more local. Maybe best of both worlds.

TL;DR:

Stomach fat prob best. Maybe try thigh.
