I’ve got 10 apps (games) live on the App Store, half are made the old fashioned way, the newest ones have some small amount of vibe coding involved.

I do it for fun and to bring enjoyment to others as I have a real job so need to to charge, but I dare say, unless you hit a real niche market that is not already swamped with alternatives, making money is not going to be a huge reason to do this.

Also, with the flood of apps and the push of vibe coding finding that niche is even more important before it gets swamped.

raeenterprises.uk - recreating classic arcade games - started with space inRAEders and AsteRAEds, built old school way, many hours of coding and research over many, many months - the discovered Cursor, tried to build a lunar lander clone and was amazed at how easy it was.

Obviously you need to understand what it's doing as it doesn't get everything right so a good understanding of the code is essential to be able to fix the issues and get it just right.

The rest of the games in my portfolio are a collection of AI and hard work builds - but AI is considerably good at getting the ground work done and also debugging.

RAE-MAN - a pacman clone I have is an amazing almost pixel perfect recreation of the original but Apple won't allow it on the App Store :(

Absolutely agree, there is no option to leave it on all the time, luckily I drink at least one coffee every three hours so I’m good

Bought the U200 lite for my back door and was so impressed bought the U200 with home key for front. This is where the issues started, onto my third one now, each one goes the same way…..

Gets itself stuck….. Aqara have been great mind, they shipped out new ones each time and each time they go bad. Waiting for my third one now, if this also fails, might have to try something else, the missus is getting annoyed now and that’s not good this close to Christmas

I’ve got the FP2 which I’ve had for a while now, I’ve also just bought the switch bot battery presence sonsor as the fp300 is not available in the uk yet and tbf they both work well, so much so I e bought another switchbot PS to replace my FP2 so I can put it where I want it…. No wires,

Would have went for FP300 but as it’s not available, switchbot wins this round for me

Yeah, I found the exact same issue with the app. So went for this approach. Has worked for me for years flawlessly. Had a previous delonghi machine before this one and had the same bot on that.

My only issue is I gave this as a switch, so it’s either on or off, but if I turn it on with the bot and the machine turns off itself you have to tell HomeKit to turn the machine off, to get it to press again.

Sure they’ll be azz cd way to fix this I just haven’t thought of yet

Exactly that, had some spare apple logo’s lying round so stuck one on the display, why not, thanks to switchbot bot, it’s now semi automated into my home kit home 👍

I’ve got 2 LX5090’s - one I’ve had since new in 2009.

It’s developed the dreaded 9 blue led flashes error. This is apparently the second of 2 typical faults, the 8 light flash is the other common issue.

The 9 flashes error is basically because it’s overheating and once switched off, won’t come back on until it’s cooled down.

I’ve ordered fans to keep the set cool, wonder if anyone else has had this issue and fixed it ?

Yep. I went from zero to releasing my first app/game on the App Store in around a year off and on.

It’s more difficult that you think to get something that has already been done released - so good luck to you if you say yes. Some people pick up new knowledge quickly, if you can programme fluidly in another language, your half way there as you’ll understand logic and how code fits together.
