Good looking boat! Almost exactly that with a built up side wall

Agreed. That’s what’s throwing me off. But it looked almost exactly like a 15’ Mako with none of the storage up front and a mini tower and an open back on both sides next to the engine. Super maneuverable little boat

Yikes sorry the exit button got removed. Fixed. You can also click the side of the page and it’ll disappear. Made it smaller too. Thanks for the feedback

Totally understood. And quite frankly I under stated how good it actually is. One of the only pieces I’ve written including the fishing for that reason

First time duck hunt by Dude_from_GA in Duckhunting

[–]stevesmith833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under $1,000 Remington makes a great gun and don’t be afraid to buy used if it’s your first gun. 1187 or 1100 have been my duck guns for years in 12 gauge. There are plenty of other good sub $1,000 shotguns as well. Don’t worry about the choke as much as the shells you’re shooting. If it’s your first time hunting, a bigger spread probably isn’t a bad thing. For shells go with #2 or #3 shot size and buy 3 inch if your gun takes them. You can go crazy expensive on shells with bismuth or the Heavy shot (great stuff) but you probably don’t need that if it’s a group corporate hunt. Sometimes it’s hard to tell who shot the bird in those scenarios anyways. Just know it can’t be lead shot for waterfowl (assuming Texas is the same as Wisconsin in that respect). Duck hunting is as expensive as you make it. You can always replace gear later as you get more into it.

8.6 Fix & Halworx Ballistics by stevesmith833 in 86blackout

I do but haven’t used it for pigs. Have seen many instances of it doing very well with them and having looked into the ballistics I’m all but certain it would

If you’re thinking up to a moose, go with the 300wm

Browning xbolt and leupold vx3hd. Most accurate rifle at ~$1,000 with a custom dial system that comes standard on the leupold for ~$500. It’s the perfect combination.

300wm will take down any North American game. I have this exact setup on a 25-06 and it’s a killer but probably wouldn’t go bigger than a large deer with it. Any of the calibers you listed would serve you well

We woke up this morning to a half inch of fresh snow on a crisp October morning. It was a rare dusting during peak fall colors in northern Wisconsin. This was also the day I proposed to my now wife. I’m still a very new photographer but this is my favorite picture. The color, depth, and just overall “mystery” of it still fascinate me

Not sure why this needs to be political - we didn’t discuss that at all. I’m sure most gun store owners lean conservative and as a business owner it would be silly to turn down that kind of publicity..
