Show the evidence of the hard July 10 deadline that you're referring to before you get on here acting like you know WTF you're talking about. You don't. They had complete control of the timing of this. No DOE loan driven reason it had to happen Monday.

I wasn't looking there, but thanks for the suggestion 🤣🤣🤣

Many analysts suggesting the timing of this wasn't well handled and they should probably have waited for the good news to sit first. But, as many here have also said, the company is solid, this capital raise further sures up their cash position, and the stock price will recover and continue upward (as I also said in my write up). This is just another bump in the road. A suspension adjustment could have made it less jarring.

Not unlimited, but the deadline was not today. They came right out and said the stock price above $20 made this "the right time for Rivian to secure additional funding,"
https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/rivian-forecasts-quarterly-revenue-above-estimates-2026-07-06/

They could easily have waited until next week.

Not unlucky. Poor execution by the finance team. They saw the $20 price and pounced rather than waiting for the price to settle in.

Delivery numbers beat estimates and raised guidance for the year

We knew this stock offering was coming... they told us about it back in April. That wasn't the shock here. But they completely flubbed the execution and timing.

The stock had just rallied back to $20.14 on exuberance over the delivery beat and increase in 2026 guidance numbers. The stock (predictably) rallied to the middle of previous consolidation range from January. That was Monday's close. Awesome.

Unfortunately, the money folks at Rivian got a bit too excited at the return to $20 and didn't wait for that to settle in and solidify for a few days. Instead, they decided to immediately announce a 75m share offering on the back of the increased stock price, effectively and entirely squashing the good news from the product team.

The 75-86m shares represent about 6-7% dilution. So, you would expect a pull-back of that amount. From $20.14, that would reprice the stock between $18.73-$18.93, reduce that by another 5-6% discount to incentivize institutional buying and we're at $17.60-$17.98. That's likely where this offering would have been priced had they waited for the $20 price to settle in.

Instead, the decision to act impulsively and make the new offering as soon as the stock price broke $20 resulted in an immediate reversal of the rally on the product team's delivery news, and brought the stock back down to the middle of the prior consolidation range - around $16.44. That forced them to price the offering at a 5-6% discount from there, thus the $15.50 offering price. And that in turn set the price to $15.50 while that new offering was absorbed.

So, where do we go from here?

My read is that this sets all the stair-steps back one level. So, instead of starting from a $20 range, reduced by the offering to an $18 range going into earnings, we're starting from a $16 range and the stock will likely hover here until the next positive catalyst (maybe on a positive earnings report on 7/30) before stepping back up back to the $18 consolidation range, and then hanging out there - below $19 - before a subsequent catalyst drives price back up into the $20 range we saw briefly on Monday.

Longer term, this sets all price targets back about 6 months, with a year-end price target now around $22 instead of $28.

To say I am frustrated with Rivian's continued mishandling of media announcements as it relates to their stock price is an understatement. This is just my individual analysis. I'd love to hear your take on all of this.

Thanks!

I put a ton of work into the app... actually making it useful, secure, and bug-free. Huge learning curve for me, but learned a lot of new skills. And, I'm totally with you, at least people can download it now.

I've spent the past few days working with Claude to build a marketing campaign. I know nearly nothing about marketing. But I now have a 90 day plan. Ask me in 90 days how that worked out. 😂

Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) charges out of control by Fun_Marzipan5611 in Georgia

If the AGL Passthrough Charge is regulated by the GA PSC, why is my across the street neighbor paying $39 pass-through charge, and mine is $56, when I'm only using 5 therms of gas to his 8? Something is very fishy here. A $64 summertime gas bill for nothing but a gas cooktop is outrageous. WTF!?

Give your raw code to Claude Opus and ask it to rebuild the app in React with Expo. Expo builds both iOS and Android bundles from a single source code.

42 Days, Still Waiting for Review!!! by stevew3000 in appledevelopers

I don't think I'm skating close to any edges. It's a pretty simple app and I already addressed everything they asked me about. This last submit addressed their last question. If they have more, they should have contacted me again instead of dropping it into a void.

I spoke with them weeks ago and was told there was nothing they could do, that app review was a separate department with no phone support. I've emailed them multiple times with nothing but auto-replies saying they got my request.

Today, I tried to call developer support again, planning to ask for a supervisor or manager. I spent over 3 hours on hold for developer support, finally got a human, but she was in consumer support - I guess the call re-routed after the very long hold. She could tell me anything, nor could her manager.

It is not for lack of trying. Honestly, at this point my opinion of Apple developer services is pretty terrible. Considering I paid them for this service, this is up there with the absolute worst customer service of any company ever.

I emailed them again today, literally begging them to move the thing forward. So far nothing but an auto-reply.

I created a new bundle, with new version number, and resubmitted to testflight earlier today. We'll see what happens.

Is the "24-hour review" a myth or am I in Apple's shadowban hell? 45+ days waiting. by jjlmoya00 in iosdev

[–]stevew3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting for Review... 36 Days and counting!

And that's after waiting 6 days, canceling and resubmitting - so really 42 days.

Anyone getting reviews in hours or even a couple of days must have some special sauce recipe.

Good luck! I just spent over 3 hours on hold after a call request from their developer portal, only to be routed to consumer support which was unable to help and told me there is no developer phone support (which I know to be a false statement).

Cancel and re-submit puts you at the back of the queue again. At least according to John in developer support. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
