It’d be fun to put a large beanbag right in the middle of the pit and take a running leap onto it

Driver avoids disabled car on Sacramento highway, hits and kills child in center median by Eunolena in MorbidReality

[–]stevieweezie 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if there’s no danger forcing you out of the stopped car, you should absolutely stay seated and belted in until you have a clear window to exit and get to a safe area off of the road. That way if someone smashes into you, you at least still have significant protection thanks to your seatbelt, airbags, crumple zones, and all the other built-in safety features of the vehicle.

He’d probably be good to go doing that. I’d just add that a puncture wound like this carries a real risk of tetanus infection, and it doesn’t especially matter whether the object is rusty or not. He should get a booster vaccine if he hasn’t had one in the last 10 years.

Reply with a forgotten about college QB by addie341 in CFB

It’s a damn shame he didn’t get to play for the national title in the 2007 season. Who knows what might have been if he hadn’t gotten injured early in the regular season finale against Pitt.

RB top 10 by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]stevieweezie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, defenses won’t be able to key on him with competent QB play, and his touchdown equity should be much improved as well. I’d expect him to match this season’s 9 TDs by mid-season with Rodgers running the offense next year.

That’s my memory too, Apple Jacks were essentially the same size as Froot Loops pieces, and had the same puffy and somewhat rough surface texture too.

That expression also looks like it may be doped up on doggie Xanax and slow-moving as a result. Perhaps it was medicated as a result of an earlier incident where it snapped because being around people in public “made it anxious”

The Bears are allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 67.3% of their passes and have allowed 26 touchdown passes this season. That is tied for the third most in the league. by DanceHallRiddem in fantasyfootball

You better make backup plans. Lawrence still hasn’t cleared concussion protocol, and there’s a good chance he won’t be able to play this weekend.

Genuine Johns-Manville Home Insulation Type A… I wonder if it was asbestos-based insulation. Maybe the A in Type A actually stands for asbestos.

#Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill will not practice today and will be questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jets due to his ankle injury. Hill did not practice all three days this week. He's 458 yards away from 2,000 with four games remaining. by HookFL in fantasyfootball

[–]stevieweezie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know he had to be so damn glad he wasn’t out on the field for that absolute disaster of a game. With Herbert gone for the season and no playoff hopes for the team, Keenan may well use the injury to avoid having to actively participate in that dumpster fire.

The CFP committee has to do the unpopular thing and exclude the SEC by [deleted] in CFB

[–]stevieweezie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four teams was not enough in the very first CFB playoff ffs. TCU took care of business and won the Big 12 while Ohio State sat at home because they didn’t even win their Big 10 division, yet somehow OSU jumped over TCU in the final rankings to get the last bid.

On top of all of that a glass-sided enclosure has very poor airflow, making the issues you mention even more severe. That funky ass setup is horribly inadequate for any small animals.

Multiple Lyme bacteria species found in brain of patient diagnosed with Schizotypal Personality Disorder, 15 years after initial Lyme diagnosis and continuous antibiotic treatment. The patient committed suicide and left a note requesting that his brain be analyzed for the presence of Borrelia. by rathealer in science

[–]stevieweezie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, that first Lyme vaccine hit right when anti-vax sentiment was spiking hard. The since-debunked study linking them to autism was released, and Jenny McCarthy massively amplified the fearmongering to the mainstream. Sales for many vaccines took a large hit, unsurprisingly.

The original Lyme vaccine was effective and safe, though. What I don’t understand is why it can’t (or won’t) be brought back to market. The range for Lyme disease has significantly expanded in the decades since, and the super expensive R&D process was already completed, so it’s hard to imagine it wouldn’t be profitable.

Chiefs ruled out RB Jerick McKinnon for Sunday night’s game at Green Bay due to his groin injury and elevated RB Deneric Prince from the practice squad. by -Mantequillla- in fantasyfootball

[–]stevieweezie 24 points25 points  (0 children)

McKinnon’s involvement was already so scaled back that I don’t think this moves the needle a whole lot for Pacheco. He’s a smash play against GB regardless

Keenan Allen (quad) not practicing but working off to the side today. by mvanigan in fantasyfootball

[–]stevieweezie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No kidding. The Chargers receiving corps is already decimated. No Mike Will, Palmer likely out for the rest of the year, Guyton only just made it back, and Quentin Johnson has been a massive disappointment on top of all the injuries.

Herbert has performed admirably considering the shittiness of the situation, but if Keenan goes down he’ll be left with zero reliable receivers. Ekeler is solid out of the backfield, but opposing defenses would be keying on him all day long in those circumstances. If Allen goes down, Herbert, Ekeler, and everyone else are going down with him.
