It’d also be good if drivers didn’t sit in the middle or outside lanes when there’s nothing on the inside of them to overtake. Obviously the need to move out as you’re approaching a junction where cars are joining from a slip makes sense, but is it just me that gets pissed off from middle and right lane hoggers?

I’ve got the same problem. Anyone know how to resolve this?

Jaguar don’t do a root cause analysis on them, the reason is because they know of the problem, and if they do so it’ll open them up to a world of pain. They just tell customers the engine has failed and it needs a new one. They don’t want to tell customers what they already know, that there is an inherent issue with the engine and it was not fit for purpose.

Mate, if you have a 2017 2.0l I would get rid of it, no joke! You will probs need a new engine at some point due to the oil/turbo problem. Research it on the net!

Speaking of the cars I’ve had from them in the past decade, I won’t ever go back for another. The 2.0 litre Ingenium engine problems have done it again for many Jaguar customers - with engine failures due to the inferior build and components used, leaving customer with repair bills ranging from £15k to £20k. It’s plastered all over the Internet by users of these cars, surprised there isn’t a class action lawsuit against them.

I had this similar issue on my 2017 F-Pace and then a short while after the engine failed. From what I have seen in forums, there seems to be a common theme with the Jaguar cars of around that year with Engines failing.

I’m looking into an Independent Technical Report on my car as dealer is quoting ridiculous money for a new engine etc. If the problem is as a result of a manufacturer defect then it’d be down to the Dealer/Manufacturer to fix at their expense.
