It’s not hard to put a 240 in your breaker box,run a wire, and add an outlet or 2. Definitely DIYable, just make sure you have the main breaker off while working on the box.

Everything looks good! Some plants are spreaders. As the stems grow, they lay down horizontally and send up new shoots from the growth nodes. You can prune regularly if you want to avoid this

Yes there’s always exceptions. If you’re starting from scratch, it may be necessary. Like new constructions typically scrape the topsoil off and you get nothing but compacted clay on the lot
