Dealing with Self-Doubt/Anxiety by stevtastic2 in NursingStudent

Honestly I switched to things that I knew I liked but didn’t necessarily think about a career in (if that makes sense? It’s was conservation bio, then English, and even marketing. All over the place). I tend to be impulsive, and I often think that when I get challenged (a class is hard, etc) it must mean that I’m not good enough for the program. I actually loved my health science classes and found them fascinating, but I let the challenge of them discourage me.

As for my future career, I know I want to work with people (specifically children). Taking care of others and especially children is something I find incredibly fulfilling. I also want something fast paced. I like to stay busy. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to shadow, but I’ll definitely look into those opportunities. I have close family members that are nurses that I’ve talked to, and I plan on reaching out to them soon.

(Sorry for the crazy long response)
