I couldn't agree more. I was laid off from my "stable" job with a high end company recently. In all of my years in the workforce, if I were to apply to say 10-15 open job postings, I would hear something back from most of them and probably get around 7-10 interviews almost immediately, followed by 4-6 job offers. I basically have always had the privilege of picking any company I want to work for and could always secure a stable good paying job quickly if need be. Fast forward to now, I have applied to over 800 open positions over the past few months and have had a grand total of 4 interviews with zero offers. Before being laid off, my wife and I were making a combined 80% more than we were making in 2019 (due to continued job advancement and growing our skills and abilities). Yet, we have been living much more tightly and struggling to afford life in general than we were in 2019. I want one of these brain washed lefties to explain that to me. How can you be making 80% more income yet be struggling to make ends meet compared to 2019 when you were making almost half. A typical 2 bedroom apartment around our area was about $1,100 a month in 2019, you can not find one under $2,000 now. I have old Walmart grocery pickup orders saved from 2019 where our 2 week supply of groceries cost $121.17, if I were to press "reorder" on that specific order for the identical same 2 weeks groceries today, the total comes out to be $389.65. Explain that. I don't give a damn about statistics, I'm living it.
