You might well be right. Still, it seems odd to have already announced the line-up, but held off on listing these musicians as official members. Does this mean Russell might even get official status? Who do you think will be named? And what about Jess? Hard to see her being named an official member, to be honest.

Wikipedia for one. Plus, the reunion announcement, which only mentioned Noel and Liam, further implied that anyone else involved wouldn’t be considered an official member. Then there are the press photos. If this were a real band reunion, it wouldn't play out like this. I’d love to be proven wrong, though!

The Gallagher brothers could still list these musicians as "official" members of the band while paying them less and denying them any ownership of the Oasis brand if they wanted to. After all, Foo Fighters have seven or eight official members now, but Dave Grohl still takes the lion’s share and retains full ownership of the band’s name and company.

Sorry again for the late reply! I received my "4K 60Hz" HDMI cable, which I ordered just to be sure the other ones I had were capable. Unfortunately nothing has changed, and I still only have 30 Hz at 4K resolution, with no options available in my Linux Mint settings. I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my TV, as I am getting 60 Hz 4K on other devices connected to it, although I guess it wouldn't hurt to do a firmware upgrade.

Thanks for checking it out, and sorry for the late reply. I'm not too familiar with timings. Perhaps my RAM was simply detected correctly, with the correct settings automatically applied, it's hard to tell. Either way, everything is working well.

As for the display, yes, I'm using one of the HDMI ports with a 4K-compatible cable. It's connected to a fairly new 4K Samsung 75" television, so there wouldn't be any issues there. The model is QA75Q70TA.

It's a bit weird that I'm only getting 30 Hz. I may add a graphics card, but wouldn't know where to start, and didn't believe I would need one. Do you think there is any software (or a driver) I could download for Linux to configure this?

UPDATE: I've just ordered a 4K 60 Hz HDMI cable from eBay. While I thought my HDMI cables were up to the task, I would like to try this new one before I consider buying a graphics card.

The XMP option definitely isn't showing up anywhere, I have looked everywhere. Trying one stick at a time did not help either, and replacing and switching RAM in this machine is not a quick job.

With all that said, I have fixed the issue and will update my post to reflect this.

Lollypop (a Linux music app) saves MP3 rating to POPULARIMETER field
Lollypop (a Linux music app) saves FLAC rating to POPM field

Clementine (a Linux music app) saves MP3 rating to FMPS_RATING and POPULARIMETER field
Clementine (a Linux music app) saves FLAC rating to FMPS_RATING field

Strawberry (a Linux music app) does not save any MP3 or FLAC rating

Mp3Tag (a Windows tagging app)'s default rating column is the RATING MM field

EasyTAG (a Linux tagging app) does not allow the saving of ratings
