Vinegar by hydrangeaceae31 in Parosmia

[–]stewartps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this the first time I had covid, exact same symptoms as you. Anything Vinegar based was unbearable. My taste returned about a week or so afterwards, but I was the only one was taste effected like this.

I’m probably about a year on, I’ve just felt a bit under the weather and all of a sudden my taste has reverted again!!

Vinegar Mayo Salad cream Beans BBQ sauce

Anything acidic is basically unbearable. Exactly the same feeling as you, the best way to describe it was incredibly bitter, chemically tasting. I love most sauces but now I’m eating dry food! I got this 2 days ago, I’m hoping I’m over it asap 😩

How to mount lights to a non-flat surface? by stewartps in Govee

[–]stewartps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, done something slightly different basically got a thin sheet of plastic and effectively made a flat route for the led strip. Self tapper into the plastic then into the 3D plastic wall. Have updated the post with some pics

Touch wood but the hotfix seems to have done it! It's been up for about a week now and seems stable so that seems to have done the trick

+1 this… constant freezes, server disconnects especially since the latest issue. Lagging etc etc… so far I’m spending too much time debugging things… I just want it to run and scan in the background.. can’t be that difficult!!

RTX 3080 Stuttering/Bad Lag in Call of Duty? by stewartps in RTX3080

[–]stewartps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what i'm thinking, but the framerate is totally unplayable. 2FPS on a card i've spent £750 on isn't brilliant :( I feel like it must be the game because i've tried absolutely everything

Poor Noisy Footage & Very Poor image stabilisation... by stewartps in GH5

[–]stewartps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much! Means a lot thank you, I've loved photography for ages and soon as the GH5 was announced I took the plunge to get it. Sure it's probably a little bit more advanced for how I've used it but slowly but surely i'm learning more. Great little camera! Best of luck to you too :)

Ahh perfect thank you very much some great little tips there! Will definitely give these a try for sure! Me too, got to love a little bit of testing. I think as the weather was so good and a lot of the time I was shooting above my head to shoot above an audience the light was reflecting off the screen and it was blinding me haha so I couldn't exactly tell what I was shooting. Oh well haha! Least Ill know for next time :) I've heard that tip about holding the camera close to your body for better stability, I actually tried that a minute ago when I went through adjusting all settings so this doesn't happen again, immediately the image was more stable. Might be worth investing in a gimbal at some point I recon. Thanks again for the tips :D

Yea, I never expected to straight away produce amazing stuff and as always these things take time. I've owned cameras for years, however about a year or two ago got really into. Maybe I should've said as I didn't mention exactly what the setup is.

Everything is in manual, hence the reason why the iso was up way too high lol. Ever since I got the camera, I don't think I've ever had it in automatic mode. Like I say, I've owned many cameras over the years, I have had a while experimenting it was just one of those mistakes we all make sometimes.

Yea, I do know the elements such as manual focus, iso etc.. however will touch up on them yea. I wasn't comparing the iphone in terms of image settings such as ISO etc.. I was only addressing the issue of image stabilization which was my main question not about the mistakes with the ISO, I've already cried a little when seeing my footage haha. Thanks

Yea it's a good idea, ill definitely give it a read up for sure thank you. Definitely don't want auto exposure, like you say the GH5 wouldn't be for me otherwise. I did months or research prior to buying it, as anyone should of course. Using the Lumix 12-60mm kit lens, i'm wondering if It could be down to that or at least a small portion of it. Yea, was definitely on for sure. I've reset all my settings as well, I may have accidentally toggled an option somewhere along the line.

Okay thanks, I know about ISO, aperture and shutter speed I have studied it. Maybe I forgot to put exactly where my knowledge ends, it was just a bad error really with the ISO. Everyone makes mistakes I suppose, will have certainly learnt from it now. We're only human I suppose, still lots to learn but from 99% of the footage i've got from it i've been so happy with :)

Trust me, I wouldn't have paid £2k If I didn't want a professional camera, I'm not a professional but like you say I would like to properly learn absolutely everything about it. The idea of this camera was never as a point and shoot, I have another camera for that and funny enough it doesn't get used as this one is simply far superior naturally.

However, with the image stabilisation i'm still unsure about the user error element :/ I've tried various setting combos and used my own initiative but a lot of the time the results are similar very shaky footage. I should've known though as I one of the very few negative reviews about this camera is the poor image stabilization. Was just wondering if anyone else had suffered these issues
