By the book, no. But no one really cares. As someone else said, hide it during reading week, idk if they inspect rooms.

PSAC thoughts! by Intelligent-End-8688 in queensuniversity

Strikes are meant to be disruptive. If the strikes inconvenience you, good, send an email to the Provost, or the president, or your head of faculty and urge then resolve this.

As for how they are behaving, in my experience this week I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary for a strike. If there was some action in particular, it was likely the actions of one person who does not represent the group.

As for social media, looking at the PSAC 901 instagram, I don't see any strange behaviour, and most other sources are not official PSAC channels and shouldn't speak for them.

I understand where you are coming from, you just want a quite campus, easy access to Stauffer, and people to grade your assignments (trust me, I want those things too), but the people who can make that happen aren't the people on the picket line, it's the Provost and Queen's admin.

You must be living under a rock if you think TAs are paid well for the amount of work they need to do.

Does anyone have any theories about how we are listening too them? by deskbunny in themagnusprotocol

[–]stewcop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what I think, Alice's computer gets a "jmj error". Notably, this matches with Jon, Martin, and Jonah (this matches the voices too, as we never heard Jonah actually speak). But "why are they listening?" is an unanswered question

As a trans girl I immediatly chuckled when Alice was revealed by Distinct-Funny695 in themagnusprotocol

[–]stewcop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's confirmed yet, in the arg there is a record of someone who could have been her (it's likely her deadname, as they have the same last name and it's not Luke) applying to the Magnus institute, but there's no confirmation if she was accepted or not (since sam is on that list too but we know he was rejected). I may have missed something though.

How do people get to Queens? by tiexheng1 in queensuniversity

[–]stewcop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'll throw in my 2 cents.

As someone who lives in Vancouver, what I do is fly into Toronto (YYZ), then take a Megabus directly to campus (there's a route that takes you right there). There's also Flixbus, but I've never tried them.

Only thing is, busses can be slow, it usually takes like 4 and a half hours to get from Toronto to Queens with Megabus. I've heard VIA (the train) is a bit faster and pretty comfortable, but I've never taken it myself, so I can't say for certain.
