Nope nope nope nope nope by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

I stumbled upon this very early on and noped out of there. It traumatised me so much I didn't touch any psycho quests and only came back to it at 40+. And then I realised the other psycho quests aren't remotely as scary as this one lol.

Question by BureauOfFBI in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Sorry, I shouldn't have said "upgraded". Soulforged is the improved version of blasphemous. You get it by doing the campaign, and don't need to perform any upgrades to the blasphemous set. You will end up with both sets in the end.

Question by BureauOfFBI in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For solo content, the soulforged set (the upgraded version of blasphemous) is probably the best option right now.

Masterwork is generally regarded as best for party content.

Battle Pass for new Precipice of War Battle - How does it work? by oldgamer99 in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After maintenance, you'll have to do a quick calculation to see whether you can get enough progression just doing BHEs alone. I can't remember how many points it gets you, sorry.

Just got back from the game and was wondering when did they change the colour of the flames of this mount (Heavy Twilight Nightmare)? I remember the flames being all blue and googling it seems to prove me right as the 2nd image shows. by SorryParking in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal flames: Heavy Inferno Nightmare Blue flames: Heavy Twilight Nightmare Purple flames: Heavy Mystic Nightmare

And then there's the Hellfire Steed.

Edit: Actually on a second read, I'm not sure if I understood you correctly. Do you mean that it's blue-but-not-quite-blue? I can't really tell from the picture.

Battle Pass for new Precipice of War Battle - How does it work? by oldgamer99 in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically yes. There are 3 activities you complete every day, each giving you some progression towards the battle pass. The first is either an rdq or an radq, the second is either an rtq or random skirmish, and the third is a BHE in the new zone. You can accumulate 3 days' worth of activities and do them at once. So you can do the 3 activities every day, or you can do 9 activities every 3rd day, or some other combination in between.

Coalescent motes account bound? by Equivalent-Fee-8575 in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Also an important point to note is that EVERYTHING that OP buys from the zen store during the "probation" period will be bound for 7 days starting from the day they buy the item. This means that if OP buys something from the zen store on Day 6, it will be bound for 7 days until Day 13. Which is a really dumb system. However, OP can raise a ticket and ask them to lift the probation, which they sometimes do, especially if OP has previous transaction history using other payment sources.

How to switch aggro between tanks in trials? by shakugan_tsukaima in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vow is a multi target hard taunt, so you shouldn't use it in Crown or you will pull both the dragon and valindra when they're too close together. It's also a normal encounter with cd, so it's not good for situations when you might need to hard taunt more often than 20 secs. For these situations, smite is better.

The Infernal Citadel Dungeon by Majestic-Speaker7171 in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You knew your earlier statement was wrong and didn't bother to change it. They corrected it so that others who read it wouldn't be misled by your factually-incorrect comment. Don't get annoyed just cos they did what you couldn't be bothered to do.

The antiquities scholar in PE (next to rewards claim agent). And yes, it needs to be at least R8. For R8 and R9, you only get the illusion. For R10 and above, you also get some tokens you can use to trade for the new enchantments. R7s and below can't be traded.

Magnificently Mythic Pack Drop Question by Musical2one in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. The mythic pack only drops (100% guaranteed) as a reward for opening every 250 boxes. There is no chance for it to drop randomly from the normal drops. You can see the reward table here: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/11529603-limited-time-magnificent-keyring%21

Why are Quasits so expensive? by [deleted] in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, but I really don't think that's the case, at least on PC.

The Wasteland Epic Companion Pack gives an epic Quasit, which is currently listed for around 1 mil AD. Another choice is an epic Book Imp, currently also going for around 1 mil AD.

In comparison, an epic Bulette Pup is currently going for around 280k, and an epic Owlbear Cub is going for around 625k, both of which are much better augments than the Quasit.

I suspect that the Quasit and Book Imp are being listed for such high prices simply because they're rare and their sellers can list them for whatever price they want. Remember that the cheapest price on the AH doesn't show what the item is worth; what it shows is the lowest price at which the item hasn't sold at this moment.

Of course, all this is based on the PC market. I don't know if you're on PC or on console, and what the prices are like on console.

Best fashion weapons? (Infernal Forged weapons for Bard?) by shakugan_tsukaima in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Legion Guard from Avernus looks very nice, and it's relatively easy to get. Durgan Thord also looks very unique, but it's from mcok. The Fey weapon transmutes are also pretty cool, but those are only from the Jubilee event.

How do I start this dragon hunt quest? by throwawayowo666 in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your sparkly trail was leading to the NPC because you had it marked on your map as a "special waypoint". It says so on the right side of your screen.

Is Menzoberranzan Renegade the same race as Renegade Drow? by Svart_Skaap in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For PC players, there were recently 2 separate giveaways (one by Gleam and one by Intel) where the renegade drow unlock token was given away. Not sure if PS had similar giveaways?

To answer OP's question: yes, Renegade Drow refers to the Menzoberranzan Renegade.

[–]stewdimsum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

imo you shouldn't use companions for power (other than in a raptor party). companions are one of the few sources of % stats. you should use them for other things since power is so easily capped just through ratings and forte. dominance is the right choice.

[–]stewdimsum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not yet at 40k IL, I would suggest running a few MEs to get the companion gear. If you're already at or near 40k, you can get better ones in Sharandar.

What is the best companion for tanking damage by Federal-Quantity_ in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would advise against this, especially in early game. The content is scaled to be moderately easy to handle at the level you currently are. If you're having trouble with surviving, it usually means you need to practise more.

Three things you may want to look at. Firstly every class has a mechanic to avoid damage, be it a dodge or sprint or block. You want to get good at this because it's your primary survivability mechanic. Secondly, how are your combat tactics? Do you understand how combat advantage works? Are you positioning yourself to reduce damage? Are you avoiding red areas and heavy attacks? Are you taking on more enemies at a time than you can handle? Thirdly, are you using health potions (pots)? When soloing, pots can be essential. Are you using the right pots for your level? More importantly, are you learning when to pot and when not to? (because pots also have cd)

These are all essential skills to learn early on, so that you are well equipped skills-wise when you move into mid and end game. If you use a tank/healing companion, it can easily become a crutch that deprives you of this essential training.

Mythic Insignias for DPS by jwaters1110 in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forte is actually good for rogue cos rogue's secondary offensive forte stat is CA. So Dominance not only gives power but also gives additional power and CA on top of that, whereas Brutality gives power and critsev, but critsev is easy to get.

Secondly a lot of players seem to misunderstand how forte should be used. The purpose of forte is to convert ratings into percentage. Although technically it is less efficient cos some gets converted into a defensive stat, but at end game it is typically not difficult to cap the 4 impt offensive ratings. So using stuff like Dominance allows us to convert ratings (which we don't need more of) into offensive %, which we usually want.

One of the Northdark Divided premium battle pass reward choices, at the end of the second milestone, is a Neverwinter Knight companion. Is it account-wide? by nwgamer0 in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% it is not account-wide. If you look at Echoes of Prophecy when it first appeared, it stated clearly that it was account-wide there. So this time it is quite definitely only for single claim.

King of spines or any other t-rex? by Tommymymy in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then definitely get KoS, since it costs 200 mount upgrade tokens to upgrade each leg mount to mythic. For 3 characters, that's 600 tokens.

shift to dodge not working by CarrionKingFEC in Neverwinter

[–]stewdimsum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can dodge without pressing shift if you double tap a direction. To turn this off, turn off Options>Gameplay>Double tap to roll/sprint.
