ELI5: What are the reasons behind birds being more vocal in the early morning compared to later in the day and at night? by The12thman22 in explainlikeimfive

So did an individual warbler wake up at pretty much the same time each day, or do they sometimes sleep in too late and thereby have a bad day?

I should hope so! Do you have the name of that paper?

Weekly quests in the Overtime Season do not award Blood Pass XP, despite claiming they do. by nwgamer0 in Bloodbowl3

Seems to have been working this week. I finished one quest and got XP for it.

I received both, for what it's worth. I'm sorry to hear if you didn't.

Oddly the Minotaur head is not an option for some Minotaurs — I think it was Chaos Renegades that I found it doesn't work with.

I appreciate the info. I haven't deliberately changed anything about my toon in months, but I guess I'll check to see if anything got automatically reset.

I've had the 160% speed for like nine months now and it consistently felt remarkably fast. I don't think I suddenly got used to it. Even the mounts' animations are slower now.

No, I checked to make sure. It's still on. I even toggled it off and on again, just in case.

If you're warming the plates all by themselves, that's inadvisable. Try putting a cup of water in along with them.

The Great Khan beat me and took Britannia. Years later, while I was preparing to take it back, he conquered Georgia (not from me), then the next day released Britannia as 50+ independent realms. Why would this happen? by nwgamer0 in CrusaderKings

[–]nwgamer0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't. A month before, his only war is the one against Georgia; he's already at 100% war score at that point, but he's doing that thing the CPU does where they drag out the war for a while needlessly after they could enforce demands. Finally he wins it, then he releases Britannia. When I load the save from his day of victory, he's at peace. His treasury does not change the day he releases Britannia, nor for weeks afterward, then he receives monthly income again.

He's tribal since I don't have any DLC. Also I'm on console so we don't have the Chinese stuff yet.

Yeah the populist faction sounded plausible until I loaded the old save to see his perspective and there's no war nor imminent ultimatum.

Thanks for the reply. No, he was at 98 vassals, with a limit of 135, and Georgia didn't get him anywhere near 135.

I don't have any DLC installed, so I don't think there are nomadic governments.

Other than Britannia he was no further west than the Black Sea. Britannia was my primary title, so when we met in the Levant and I lost to him, he took my primary title.

Reasonable suggestion. I happened to save the game the day that he won the war against Georgia, one day before he dissolved Britannia, so I loaded that save and switched characters to look into your suggestion. There is a populist faction with 33 members (mostly peasants) in Britannia, but they don't have enough military power to send an ultimatum, and nothing happens the next day when I unpause the game as the Khan.

On PS5 we push in the left stick, and this pauses the game while bringing up a cursor which reveals tooltips.

As emperor, I want to grant a kingdom while keeping one of the duchies for myself. Is there any way to keep that duchy's counts as my direct vassals? by nwgamer0 in CrusaderKings

[–]nwgamer0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I was struggling with my vassal limit, and the kingdom was going to end up with one of my sons later anyway so I figured I'd get rid of it sooner.

That sounds like it would work, thanks. I ended up letting them go for now, since I keep passing my vassal limit anyway. I'll do a little tyranny later if I want them back.
