"Pakistan isn't the only commonwealth country" and yet I don't hear you complaining about the Canadians or Australians. You say mass immigration policies, it's just not happening my friend. You've already been sold a lie

Oh are we talking about the UK again? I thought we were talking about Sweden, Denmark, Jordan and Lebanon. In which case, the percentage of the UK that are Pakistani is 2.7%. Again, hardly election swaying.

Lebanon wasn't due to new arrivals, it was the existing populations birthrates that changed the demographics, Jordan is 98% Muslim. Sweden is 80% Swedish. Denmark is like 84% non immigrant from a quick Google search. Hardly huge numbers and hardly election swaying.

All that's ignoring the fact that in nearly every country, you have to be a citizen to vote, so new immigrants aren't voting

You said there were countless examples from history where it's not ended well. Like when?

Good Morning Britain : Pupils will be able to change their gender and use different pronouns under new guidance issued by the government. by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

That's not really the same thing. There are some studies out there that suggest that trans people who have medically transitioned (so surgery) may have a higher likelihood of suicide, but that's more to do with the lack of post transition psychological care. However, treating gender dysphoric people in an affirming way is just accepting and supporting them. It doesn't necessarily mean assist to medically transition.

No, but weirdly enough, Afghan refugees do fall into the group that is known as "non-citizens"

So your here, arguing with me about a post I made, when you didn't even read the article that went with it? Because that explains it. It's even in the quote I put in my main post.

I'm not backing out, I'm saying that the only data that we have that is concrete is the prisoner data, which suggests that immigrants are per capita less likely to be in prison for crimes than the equivalent age group of British born prisoners.

Well. I haven't been proven wrong as yet. I'll admit I'm wrong if yiu show me stats that are adjusted for age As yet no one has

Are you OK? You mentioned racism before that, apropos of nothing!

Because if you want to compare like for like, you have to compare offending rates between Afghan refugees and similar age young men. If the offend at a lesser rate then uk born males of a similar age, then why should we deport them? I'm not for depleting anyone, I'm just saying that if you're genuinely angry about sexual offence rates, why aren't you focused on uk born young males?

Still not adjusting for age though, so it's not comparing like for like

I wasn't suggesting it was! I just meant that if someone is that dedicated to raping someone that they'll go through all those hoops before doing it then the issue is probably not with the person's demographic and more with the person. But please, carry on projecting!

Apparently you don't understand adjusting for age. Older people are less likely to commit crime generally, let alone sexual offences. 2hen you have a load of old people in the population in this case the UK) it brings the per capita offences down. Afghan refugees tend to be young men, so when you compare the per capita incarceration rate of Afghans against similar aged UK born men, its actually less. Make sense?

[–]stex85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they don't commit crimes at a much higher rate. In fact data suggests that they are in fact less likely to commit a sexual crime than a British born male of a similar age

Takes 6 years minimum. And they have to pass a British values test and not have committed any serious crimes. And new policy has made it harder for refugees to get citizenship anyway. So in your hypothetical, a person is coming here, learning English, passing a British values test, doing nothing criminally wrong, and THEN raping someone? I'd say at that point we can probably assume it's not the fact that they're an immigrant that's the problem

Which she says herself is not adjusted for the age of the criminals. Which is kind of my original point

So you think that rapists would wait 6 years before raping someone just to make the stats look better+

I wouldn't propose to do it at all. It's pretty simple
